This is another classic example of Blitzer kowtowing to the GOP. Let’s not forget he was absolutely giddy on the air when CNN announced and held the Tea Party debates. And the man simply can not think for himself. He can read his news scripts but he is godawful when he has to wing it himself. And the GOP has the nerve to call and create the meme that CNN is the “Clinton News Network” after they have bent over backwards for the GOP for years! At least everyone knows Fox is the RNC Network, actually reading RNC news releases as news (thanks, Jon Stewart!). But CNN is perhaps more disingenuous because they pretend to be in the middle.
Blitzer is absolutely complicit in getting Trump the GOP nomination. He has never confronted Trump with Trump’s racism directed specifically at the President. Such as Trump’s birtherism. Blitzer is a classic “1-percenter”.
