Disagree. They knew darned well that most of their base were bigots, misogynists and racists–heck, many if not most Republican elected officials are bigots, misogynists and racists. They just didn’t expect to be run over by an uncloseted bigoted, misogynistic racist.
I ain’t buying any of this hand-wringing. They knew exactly what they were doing. They really thought they could mine hatred forever without it being turned back on themselves? What the hell did they expect?

A lot of tweeters are talking about what a great job Tapper did with this interview, but not getting sucked into Trump’s BS. Which I will admit, he did avoid to some degree.
And that’s gotta be tough, because Trump has the Gish Gallop down to a science.
You can, as Tapper did, try and stick to one single, discrete issue…but in doing so, you let Trump down a dozen out right lies in the process…and even when you bring him back around, he refuses to answer the question. And that’s precisely what Trump does here.
So I am going to call this one a draw…which I guess for the low bar that is Tapper, counts as a win?

The man can only be judged by himself. Nor can there ever be a jury of his peers, because he has no peers Just ask him.
And I wish I was being snarky, but I am not. Trump is only satisfied if he wins everything, anything less and someone is being unfair. Therefore, he must be the judge of his own trial in order for it to be fair.
The man has people, lawyers,telling him he is being treated unfairly. Lawyers that he is paying. I know a stripper that tells me I am the sexist man she has ever seen. As long as I am paying her.

At this rate the guy might still take his toys and go home. Maybe he has troughed too early.
That would be too bad because if he stays in he could/should lose in a 50-state rout. On the other hand if he stays in I have to see/hear him daily, everywhere, which is a problem for my eyes, ears, and blood pressure.

I just played a trial lawyer for 20 years in State Court and only went to Federal Court a few times. I didn’t have a high publicity case, so don’t rightly know the rules, but the repeated badmouthing of the judge, I’m pretty certain he can rule him in contempt. But, I could be wrong.
