Discussion for article #239761
Iâve said this before but it bears repeating. A bad day for Walker is a good day in the universe.
That should say Walker and the Kochâs are tanking in New Hampshire. Thatâs a good thing.
It sure looks like the Walker campaign miscalculated. They figured they had a monopoly on stupid, and they were right to an extent: not even Trump is as stupid as Walker. But Trump is a lot louder about it, and volume is helping Trump more than those couple of extra IQ points are hurting him.
If anyone needs proof that the GOP is totally lost, totally out of touch with humanity and totally misanthropic, the fact that Trump is leading the field says it all. When a party is so bereft of a moral compass and so utterly out of ideas, the likes of Darnold Trump surface and are actually taken seriously by the knuckle-dragging base.
Walker is also not doing well in SC. If he starts lagging in Iowa, NH and SC his money people might start getting nervous. The key to eliminating him is cutting off his air.
Cruz and Paul are also losing support in NH. The Perry, Graham, Pataki, Gilmore, Huckabee, Jindal and Santorum campaigns are on life support. These seven may well be gone before the Iowa caucuses.
Trump is an entertaining bit of fun to fill the last days of summer, but heâs not going to have a long-term relationship with the GOP. Either Republican voters will come to their senses and realize that they donât want an egomaniacal blowhard as their nominee, or the corporate powers that run the party will come together, choose an anti-Trump, and give that person the money to win. Either way, like so many other summer flings, Trump wonât be more than a slightly embarrassing memory by the time Thanksgiving comes around.
Even in New Hampshire, the GOP faithful have interesting ⌠shall we say, values. Glad to see Walker taking a beating, though.
Doesnât the GOP understand that they only need one candidate to speak for the stupid, venal, racist, misogynistic, homophobic cretins they have become? Donald is just the man to do it. The others can go home.
The Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling
This is simply not true. PPP may be Democratic-affiliated or even Democratic-owned, but it is not âDemocratic-leaningâ. In polling jargon, âleanâ is a technical term that indicates a persistent bias in sampling leading to poll results skewed in the direction of the âleanâ. PPP has consistently been one of the most accurate of polling firms.
Please donât do this again.
I will repeat myself:
They donât necessarily love Trump, but they prefer him and his authenticity (in all its vile glory) to the other so-to-speak, âestablishmentâ pre-fab candidates, whom they recognize as the grifters they are. This could be a sign of health.
The vast majority of that promised $800 million + that the Kochs keep dangling out there has NOT been committed yet. I suspect you might be right.
The real interesting thing (and there are quite a few) in this poll today is that Kasich support is coming almost exclusively from the âmoderate/establishmentâ wing. That bodes very badly for both Walker and Bush. Bush is getting embroiled in a battle with Trump, which he will lose, while Kasich quietly gobbles up Bushâs actual support, without having to deal with Trump.
Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta DO end up together by the end of the movie. Just sayinâ
GOPappeal = Volume / IQ
Yeah. And Donald and Ivana wound up together. Before they split. Ivana, as part of the divorce, said Don raped her. Was pissed off about his haircut. So pulled her hair and forced penetration.
Do you think that is going to be kept secret if this goes on much longer?
And the hits just keep on comingâŚBush is dying on the vine, Walker is just about gone (why were so many Dems scared of him?) Kasich is making a run for the prize but is only viable because Trump has not noticed him yet. Ah, to be a Republican when the crazy check comes due. A beautiful thing to behold.
It has already come out and didnât bother the GOP voters one bit.
Kasich would give Trump difficulty. He gets Rubio as VPâŚdream ticket for Reps.
The donald is going down. It will be a sight to behold. It will be Yuge.
Something Democratic candidates might keep in mind. Biden is authentic. Sanders is authenic. Clinton is pre-fab.
