What most commentators, including TPM, miss is that Trumpâs victory is one of the right wing crowd that has long seen Communist China as the main enemy, that has wanted to go to âwar with Communismâ and overthrow its main remaining bastion. In the mainstream view, such as Hillary Clintonâs, Russia is the major imperialist rival and worth going to war over, something she made no bones about, while the idea is that China will weaken itself over time via capitalist measures and their pitfalls and popular unrest - or thatâs the hope, the strategy. Josh Marshall and his TPM railing on endlessly about Trump and Russia shows it doesnât have a clue about the import of the change occurring right in front of its nose.
