Yes, let’s discuss welfare.
Instead of mooching just some of the money from the government, Trump wants to make sure he can have all of it.
sea bugs. yum.
At one time lobster was “poor people’s food.”
He’s coming for Duck Dynasty fans.
He says “people are taking advantage of the system.”
Says the man who has four times used bankruptcy to bail out one of his businesses…
He says “people are taking advantage of the system.”
The bankruptcy system?
Prez. Tee Time ruminates…
Robert Rector, a senior research fellow at Heritage, said he would like to see more work requirements for a range of anti-poverty programs and stronger marriage incentives, as well as strategies to improve results for social programs and to limit waste.
“stronger marriage incentives”-if Moore assaults all the teen girls and sullies their purity then who will marry them?
“strategies to improve results of social programs” - forced sterilization again?
“waste”- must always end proposal with cutting our waste- which ends up costing more
So are we done with Infrastructure? I must have missed it.
Six times—but who’s counting?
He says “people are taking advantage of the system.”
This time he is right. Politicians like Trump are taking advantage of the system. They are trying to visit hell on poor people to prove they can solve a problem Bill Clinton and his Republican buddies “solved” 20 years ago.
So, un-president PeePee, who stood on a debate stage and told us he was “smart” for not paying any federal tax for twenty years, indignantly says “people are taking advantage of the system”. Well, no shit Sherlock. Take a look in the mirror. Don’t forget the private plane tax exemption you’re writing into your new tax reform for the rich.
In the 18th century lobster was a poor person’s staple. They got very tired of eating it so often.
This idea is so stupid and wrong-headed, I haven’t heard even Paul Ryan bring it up. And no bill hurting poor people is ever too far for that sociopath.
"Budget director Mick Mulvaney said this year, ‘If you are on food stamps and you are able-bodied, we need you to go to work.’”
OK, Mick. If I’m working my butt off full time, and still can’t make it without food stamps, I need you to pay me a living wage.
Don’t be so selfish, think about the 1% who would have to miss that money…
The military and especially the military-industrial complex, on the other hand, needs a lot more money. No waste there.
So the election in VA had women voting democratic by a 19 point margin and those same women going out in droves to vote despite long waits in the weather and the Repub solution to this is to elect a perv to the senete and to starve children in the US. All righty then. This should work out for them just great.
Me: A large part of our infrastructure problem is that people who can afford to pay for things don’t want to pay for anything.
Friend: That’s because they see the money they give the government being given away. Everyone is playing the system and taking advantage of incompetence and political spinelessness in Washington. I mean, just look at the food stamp situation.
Me: Well that’s true to an extent. But it also applies to big pharma, who fight to keep the government from making them compete, and to corn and cane farmers who demand unjustified government support, and to oil companies who pay nothing for leases, and to defense contractors who spread their operations to as many congressional districts as possible.
Friend: Yep. Everyone is in on it.
Me: Then why are we always talking about the poor, who benefit the least?
