Pardon a racist birther?

On what better day??

Gotta get that first pardon out of the way, you know, loosen up the old signing arm. He’ll need the practice for the slew of pardons planned later.

“Racism is wrong, which is why I must assist racists at every turn and support them in all their efforts.”

Shorter Trump: I love White Supremacists.

“Trump said Sunday that he was considering pardoning former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was convicted of criminal contempt of court.”

Because the best way to be The Law And Order President™ is to hold your cronies above the law.

Especially those who show actual “criminal contempt” of the law, itself.

Trump: “He’s a great American patriot and I hate to see what has happened to him.”

No Donnie, Arpaio is a criminal who has spent his life victiizing the people in his charge and violating other’s civil rights. He deserves to be in prison and to carry the label of “felon” for the rest of his life.

If you pardon him you will prove yourself to be no better than him of any other criminal.

Apraio: I hope Trump does it before he is impeached.

Denounce racists at noon. Pardon a racist later in the afternoon. Sounds legit.

Pardon a low-level drug criminal who got in with the wrong crowd and is hoping to turn his life around by expunging his record? Never. But Sheriff Joe, who basically gave the finger to a federal judge and who will never express remorse for his hateful views and actions? Of course, that fits with Trump’s view of the judiciary. I wonder where this “so-called” judge was born.

His actions will always speak louder than his words today.

Can’t wait for him to pardon that poor 20-year-old in Charlottesville who merely took a wrong turn and had his car smashed up by antifa who were so extremely violent they threw their bodies on it…

He learned from the worst:

Of course he is, especially when Arpaio begged like a coward afraid of facing retribution

Whatever. Arpaio already lives in disgrace, his reputation a streak on toilet paper, and Trump would damage himself dramatically more than he would help ol’ Joe.

Somewhat ironically, this might be the first altruistic thing Donald Trump has ever done in his life.

Arpaio … was convicted on July 31 of criminal contempt of court for refusing to follow a judges’ orders to stop his practice of racially profiling individuals for traffic stops and detention who law enforcement officials believed could be undocumented immigrants.

Trump (dog whistle in hand): “He has done a lot in the fight against illegal immigration. He’s a great American patriot and I hate to see what has happened to him.” Trump continued (dog whistle put aside), “To not be able to openly continue his racist policing activities in direct defiance of a legitimate court order is just terrible, I think.”

Arpaio first…

Then James Alex Fields, Jr.

He has to make up with the alt-right for today’s denunciation… not that the racist don’t understand that Trump really loves

Well that would continue to kepp Mueller’s probe out of the news for a few extra days
