Discussion: Trump Sees A Border Wall And He Wants It Painted Black

So how do you make a cutting spike that isn’t also a really effective anchor point? Asking for a friend. All so effing evil and stupid.

They’ll climb the wall, saw off the spikes, and sell them to American tourists.

Remember, the wall has to be in US territory, and out of the Rio Grande floodplain. Biggest territorial cession since the louisiana purchase.

O/T… The punishment of Dems is starting… Now they’re planning to dump up to 1K/month migrants onto Broward and Palm Beach counties in Florida, transported from El Paso… Of course, without providing any resources to help.

That incarnation of the casino\hotel was opened about two years after the actual demolition. I am presuming the walls were put in place within that time. The person who developed it had put a ton of interesting antiques, wood\steel work and stained glass into it.Then it promptly folded. Current owners picked it up shortly after and have maintained it since.

That’s why I view Trump as the symptom rather than the disease. He never would have gotten close to the presidency if there wasn’t so much rot on the right side of the political spectrum.

Trump should cut out the foreplay and just skip directly to shooting people on 5th Avenue, proving he’s untouchable and can do whatever he wants.

At least that way maybe Dems could be prodded into serious action. After thinking about it a few weeks.

spikes make good anchors for ropes. gloves or wrapped rags will allow you to grip - it’s just idiotic

Might even see a “tsk-tsk” tweet or two from one (or more!) republicans.

Heh. We could even let him try some samples on…and then take him on a boat ride. He has friends in NYC that could do the job.

That’s got Kate Riga sass all over it. Hard to laugh these days, but she is doing her part!

Still don’t think anyone would have seen the depths to which this has gone. I couldn’t stand watching him from the get go, thought he was a ridiculous clown and like most people didn’t think he could win. Did anyone think in the beginning there was going to be a Mueller investigation, stonewalling, lawsuits and serious talk of impeachment with less than 2 years. Maybe you did, but I didn’t go down that rabbit hole.

“Trump has also reportedly floated names of his friends in New York who he thinks could finish construction faster”
… aren’t those the same guys who disposed of Jimmy Hoffa?

Also LD/BD.

Nice Stones reference.

While I receive your overall point, I think many of them didn’t take anything like a full measure of Trump. Instead, he verbally stroked their lizard brain, and they responded in kind.

I won’t speak to the state of mind of all 63 million Trump voters. A very small percentage are disgruntled Democrats who voted for Obama – and were probably offset by racist Democrats willing to vote for Hillary.

Of the 61.5 million or so who actually voted for Trump, I’d expect that a significant chunk of them are religious fundamentalists. Their ideology prepares them for someone repugnant and immoral like Trump coming along and doing their dirty work. The other part, about 25% of the electorate, directly identify with Trump. They’ve hung around the right wing of the R party (and back in the days of dixiecrats, around the right wing of the southern D party as well), grumbling that they’re always being sold out. Not this time. Trump didn’t really think this through, except possibly his sixth sense for shady real estate deals (one of his few intellectual skills) might have perceived that there was a market, not enough to get elected but to make a very lucrative real estate franchise. That 25% (fortunately, mostly older) is generally bad news. Actually, the fundies are, too, you get them away from Trump by giving them someone like Pence. Our best bet is to go after their kids, something the crackpots are well aware of and will take measures to stop.

Organized crime will love this. How many stiffs can you hide under the wall? (And how many drug dealers, while tunneling under the wall, will discover the bones and offer them up to law enforcement in return for, well, favors?)
