So basically, Mr. Deal-maker is admitting that he gave up one of the biggest bargining chips we had and got no concessions, not one, from the Israelis in return.

But the move was NOT and is NOT in the best interest of the United States! So what happened to the America first policy? It gets shoved to the back burner when a move for white nationalism is on the table…the neo-nazi movement is what drives Trump.

He’s embarrassing enough at home. On the world stage, he’s pathetically awful.
The policy team around him is historically weak. Bolton in particular is not ready for prime time. The advice he gets is bad and he doesn’t know how to deal with it. Somebody sent him to the UN with a speech that was better suited to the stump than to the world’s leaders. That person should be fired, but Trump probably lacks the awareness to know the leaders at the UN don’t watch Fox News. He is probably doesn’t really know the historic failure his administration has been or he would have cut the laugh lines out of the speech himself.
The israeli hardliners, who have for decades taken an eliminationist point of view toward the palestinians, were only doing it because the US was insulting them by not moving its embassy. And now that the embassy has been moved they will suddenly be willing to negotiate in good faith. Uh. Huh.
I do see a certain amount of interesting projection here: it’s basically the same as trump saying he’s been such a fraud and vicious assh*le for so many years just because people don’t respect him, and if only they would he’d be a nice guy.
