as if he hasn’t commanded Barr on what to do.

Isn’t that up to Bob Mueller? Isn’t he the one who decides whether HE testifies?

Previous administrations have tried invoking executive privilege to prevent both current and former employees from testifying. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

“Trump Says…”

Trump says a lot of things.

I’d seen someone mention on Twitter last night (no source, though) that Mueller was planning on leaving the DOJ soon, which would render moot this whole approval thing anyway. Sooner or later, he’d be appearing, so why not now?

Maybe, just maybe, someone spoke that thing called Common Sense to Trump, and he listened?

Which might indicate Barr has told Trump he has found an obscure rationale to prevent Mueller from testifying.

Barr on May 1 referring to Mueller: “I’ve already said publicly I have no objection to him testifying,” Barr said last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Is the Dumpster thinking that somehow this gives distance between himself and the backlash that will occur when Barr “refuses” to allow Mueller to testify?

Or later, if Barr does “OK” Mueller to testify, Dumpster can claim Barr crossed over to the “witch hunt” side and apply the shiv?

Barr is being set up as the fall guy.

How clever?

Clearly he regretted it because he didn’t show up the next day to the scheduled House hearing.

“No, I don’t,” Barr said, when asked by Rep. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.) whether he knew what was behind reports that members of Mueller’s team were frustrated by the attorney general’s summary of their top-level conclusions.

“I don’t know,” he said the next day, when asked by Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) whether Mueller supported his finding that there was not sufficient evidence to conclude that President Trump had obstructed justice. These statements resurfaced Tuesday following the revelation that Mueller had sent a letter to Barr two weeks earlier objecting to the attorney general’s characterization of the probe.

I was very curious that Trump mentioned the Logan Act in relation to Kerry. Why is ‘Logan Act’ on his mind? Mueller did dive into this issue with he, McFarland and Flynn having worked together (conspired) to violate the act. Mueller didn’t have enough evidence of Trump’s direct knowledge but suspected it. I also think that Pence either acquiesced to or participated in a cover up of that Logan Act issue. Is there something on Trump’s mind? Clearly with the Jr subpoena there is more going on in the Trump Russia matter than perhaps even Barr knows.

First the over the top praise, then some tweet criticisms are posted, then comes the demand that someone fire the subject. Mileage between each phase varies.

The beauty of either of these is that Trump gets what he wants, chaos and confusion.

So do rates for mileage reimbursement.

Maybe Barr, Bolton and Pompeo will be fired next.

Oh…

Something to do with one of the 12 redacted cases/ongoing investigations?
