Fuck your tax reform - release your tax returns, motherfucker!
Iâm tired of Republicans using the word âreformâ to really mean âgut.â
Healthcare reform = gutting coverage
Tax reform = large tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations
Environmental regulations reform = a return to polluted air, water and land
No he wonât. Theyâll release a half-assed tax reform recommendation that wonât have anywhere near the support in either house to get out of committee let alone pass as legislation.
This is just cover so Trump can claim he âpassed tax reform in his first 100 daysâ then blame it on everyone but himself when it doesnât go through.
Donald Trump is the most inept President this country has ever had and likely ever will have.
Iâve never crossed my fingers for a government shutdown before. Before now, that is.
Perfect 100 day capstone.
Every reporter who asks about this issue needs to ask, âHow much would this have saved Donald Trump off his 2016 federal income taxes?â
I am so with you! 100%!
Shut this bitch down. Letâs get to the bottom of the corruption before it is allowed to take over everything.
Too funny. The fucker has no clue.
The plan, never going to materialize, was to take the âsavingsâ from gutting ACA and putting them in some half assed tax reform package in order to cut taxes for the 1%.
Mostly likely this bill will screw over his supporters, just like his failed attempt at healthcare. This bill will be called âTax the Deplorablesâ. Itâs comical how bad this this idiot is at politics.
How clever! Let the government shut down and then no one pays taxes!
Cramming for midterms. Not sure it works in national politics as well,as it does in college.
âSome time next weekâŚmaybe TuesdayâŚmaybe Wednesday, but probably late Friday afternoon. I donât have the slightest idea whatâs in itâŚBut folks, I can assure you, itâs going to be a great tax plan and I guaranty you that youâre gonna love it.â
Trump will never, ever be chastened; will never, ever learn.
To reassert himself as the humiliator, Trump will look to take decisive action of some kind elsewhere. With the legislative channel all but closed, he will find something in the administrative and foreign policy realms over which he exerts outright control. He could sabotage Obamacare by announcing an end to cost-sharing reduction payments. He could void the nuclear deal with Iran. He could provoke North Korea. But there is no historical precedent that allows us to comfort ourselves in the hope that he will accept defeat quietly. When Trump needs a âwin,â we all lose.
All thatâs missing is âDonât forget to tip the waiter. Try the veal!â
âBigger I believe than any tax cut ever.â = I havenât even started thinking about this and am pulling flowery prose out of my orange and sagging ass.
Thanks for that link. Beutlerâs a good one. But the look on trumppâs face. . . you see the contents of his soul on it. Ugly, twisted and totally bleak.
But, he has a distinct flair for demagoguery.
Relax, this is easy: Heâll put out a sketchily-prepared three-page draft, the nub of which will be rate cuts in all brackets. And heâll âpayâ for it with unspecified loophole-closing. GOP will cheer the headline version, and most news media will ignore the boring analysis of its calamitous effect on public finances.
Two weeks later, it will be forgotten.
