Discussion: Trump Says He Doesn’t ‘Blame China’ For Taking ‘Advantage’ Of U.S. On Trade

“Some of the little fellers are possibly fine people.”,he continued. “But they’re not sending their best. Like take steel. Comrade Wilbur’s given me his word that his steel, or Stalin as he calls it, is the best. He needs our help against the foreigners. They’ve cheated him and his sons out of billions this way.”

From yesterday’s FT:
“He cares only about money, exports and jobs. That makes it very easy for China to handle him.”

To our friends in Asia: Yes, he really is this stupid.

“I don’t blame China for raping the U.S. I mean, look at what she was wearing. She was asking for it.”

And blame previous U.S. presidents rather than any China policy. Coward. Oh yeah, and a $500 billion trade deficit is not beyond what anybody would understand. Maybe you, but not others.

Beyond what anybody would understand? Perhaps you and your slack-jawed followers, Donnie Dotard, but not others.

Trump grovels before China. Fox News will say this is a good thing. BTW, hang the withdrawal of TPP around every Republicans neck.

I wish we could hang it around their necks except for the fact that they will NEVER admit they were wrong. Even when the evidence is clear that America has no standing in Asia from a trade standpoint, feral trumpers will make up something to counter the facts.

Throughout his campaign Trump repeatedly attacked the country for “ripping us off” and “raping” the U.S. on trade between the two countries and even promised to officially label China a “currency manipulator” if he were elected.

But he doesn’t “blame them” for the trade deficit…thanks, Obama!! He really is a moronic idiot, isn’t he? I’ll bet the Chinese leadership is laughing behind his back.

A normal politician would have had experience in dealing with smart, tough big shots. And would have taken the advice of the State Department’s experts and been aware of the pitfalls. Here we have a toddler playing in traffic. Welcome to the Asian century, folks. And tighten your belts.

The lies he’s told?

“I give China great credit.”

Actually, China has given the US great credit. Over a trillion dollars worth.

The US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, later tried to clarify Trump’s comments. “Well, as I was sitting there listening to that, there was a little bit of tongue-in-cheek in that characterisation. But there was also a lot of truth to it,” he told reporters.

“Oh and have I told The one where he’s a fucking moron? Ha, I make myself laugh with that one.”

Step back and forget the hoohaa about ‘nationalism’ and ‘America first’. Trump is driven by a desire to destroy. In this case, the USA. He’s making excellent progress.

Normally, yes. I am afraid the castration diagnosis on Tillerson may be accurate, and the unfilled diplomatic posts in the State Department is troubling to say the least…Dotard Don ensured that he is running the show here. Segues into your point perfectly.

“we have a toddler playing in traffic. Welcome to the Asian century, folks. And tighten your belts.”

Well put!

It’s not so much China raping the US as it is US business owners rapeing China and the US. China’s politicians get bought out to allow US companies to underpay workers with little safety and pollution controls, and US politicians that get bought out to allow these business to not pay taxes when they move offshore. And what is really stupid is US business owners not seeing how if they take paying jobs from US workers, there won’t be any US consumers that have money to buy their Chinese made shit! even if it is cheap.
