I hear you…In terms of absolute danger this Republic has faced, the Trump Era (Nov, 2016 to the present) is longer than the time span between Dec. 7, 1941 until spring 1944…by which time the Allies were fairly secure in their projections of ultimate victory.

I’m having a hard time reading that and coming up with any redacted phrases that could possibly make Dumpster look good.
More and more what I’m seeing, or getting a sense of, is that perhaps there was no implicit and direct “conspiracy and coordination” between the Trump campaign and Russia, but that internally, they were conspiring like hell to try and “receive benefits from foreign powers in support of the campaign”.
The fateful day that the Russians offered, through an intermediary, to materially support the Trump campaign, is the day the criminal intent to conspire was made most clear.
The campaign didn’t bother reporting it to the FBI, and instead actively participated in or encouraged such support. e.g. “If it’s what you say, I love it. Especially later this Summer”, and, “Russia, if you’re listening…” (which they were, and the hack attempts began only hours later).
How do these not rise to a criminal level, when not single acts, but the sum-total are taken into consideration? IANAL, but just from a basic, common sense POV, these acts should lead to indictments. The mere fact that they haven’t, tells me our system is broken, and/or not capable of handling this kind of treacherous scenario.
If nothing else, some much-needed reforms would be a good place to start.

I keep wondering what happened to any counts of solicitation or attempt. Conspiracy isn’t the only inchoate crime here.
