Discussion: Trump’s Onetime Rivals Resurface For RNC’s ‘Make America First Again’ Night

He has promised that his RNC speech was composed without the help of a speechwriter, insisting he wrote “every single word.”

My first quick glance at the headline read as though the theme was ‘Make America Fight Again’ (It makes sense given the tenor of the convention so far)

Can we stop showing that picture of Callista Gingrich? Those eyes scare the shit out of me.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) are among the names on what appears to be the most traditional speaker lineup the convention has offered up thus far.

Cruz, who once called Trump an “utterly amoral” “pathological liar,” has yet to even say that he will vote for the now-confirmed GOP nominee, however.

“If there’s no endorsement, then I would not invite them to speak,” Mr. Trump said in an interview, adding that former rivals like Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio should not expect to address the convention if they continue to withhold their support.

Side-note: Mike Lee is a Cruz ally.

Trump had to allow at least one night for what he calls The Losers…so they can start their 2020 Presidential bids.

“Eric Trump has regularly accompanied his father at campaign events and acted as an attack dog in the media on his behalf.”

Fun Fact: Just as “I am Lord Voldemort” is an anagram for “Tom Marvolo Riddle”…

An anagram for “Eric Trump” is “Rectum Rip”.

Did Calista always look like that or is that just plastic surgery gone bad?

I’m sorry but I look at those that Trump has ‘allowed’ to speak as big ol’ political 'ho’s…They are on the downside of their careers and decided that the only course of action is to team up and act as nasty ratfkers for the ‘Trump Organization’ because it will never be a Presidency.

I can hardly wait to keep my TV tuned away from this crowd of bozos. (With apologies to Bozo.)

Cruz was also at the Dallas event where President Obama spoke. I think he’s just making the rounds to stay connected to the GOP base when Trump falls.

I hope they play Wagner’s “The Entrance of the Gods into Valhalla” from “Das Rheingold,” when they walk on stage. That would be so cool. [and oddly appropriate]

Cruz, who once called Trump an “utterly amoral” “pathological liar,”

So, does anyone think Cruz will express that opinion again?

Dear God… I would love that so much.

If there’s anyone going to get on stage and roast Trump until security drags them off with a shepherd’s crook, it’ll most likely be tonight.

And I already have plans for this evening. Aww darn!

Wait a freakin’ minute! Cruz already delivered his assessment of Trump. …Hmmm …OH! Must be a different Cruz, or he would have to be a really, really…really scummy hypocrite, huh?
~snicker!~

Well…He can deliver the same address:

And that works quite well for Cruz’ prior summation of The Donald’s character. It will be interesting to see how he ‘patches’ that rift (jumps that chasm) tonight. I can hear the opening, whining words: “Now let me be clear. Donald Trump and I have our differences, but now is a time for healing. The stakes are too high to let our differences jeopardize …blah, blah, blah…”

Tonight?

Maybe

Uday and Qusay Trump

That’s just the byproduct of years and years of having to watch Newt Gingrich either eat or shower.
