What a clown show.
The Trumpettes say it was not a raid and I agree. It was a strongarm theft and nothing else.
Every day, literally every day, this whole phenomenon grows more grotesque, ridiculous, and sad.
Isn’t this kind of what landed OJ in prison?
Quite honestly, I don’t know what to make of this.
On the one hand, that letter was clearly bullshit, and had all the earmarks of being written by Trump himself.
On the other, this doctor isn’t exactly the most credible source in the world.
So, I believe he is probably telling a story that is true (now), but the right wing is going to rip him apart limb from limb, and he will quickly fold up his tent and run away.
Least surprising news ever.
Listen up justice department, minimum appropriate charges are:
-Bodyguard: theft of HIPA protected information, and intimidation.
-Doctor: falsifying official government documents.
-Dotard: attempting to corrupt a United States election, voter fraud, theft.
If the doctor files a complaint they may have a problem, from what I read. But I think what’s really poisonous in all this insanity is this is going to be one more camel straw for all the people who were unsure but wanted to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, because he was a good businessman etc. etc. More and more he’s just obviously a ridiculous fake and a cheap, thuggish blusterer. When you do things that confirm people’s darker suspicions, that benefit of the doubt is likely to go “poof” and vanish.
Yet he signed the letter and lied about it when asked,
proving once again everything and everyone is tarnished by Trump.
Trumpty dumpty is supposed to be so rich but this was his doctor? All that cash but he couldn’t get a better doctor than this?
I always wondered about that letter…it sounded way too much like things Trump would say about himself, and didn’t seem to be in the language that a medical professional would use.
Ronny Jackson’s presser to discuss Trump’s health was more medical, with actual numbers provided (though some, like his weight, were eyebrow-raising), but it was also peppered with fulsome praise and superlatives that just seemed off. Jackson’s almost-giddyness at times was a little troubling, too.
In both cases, I had a mental image of Trump “suggesting” what should be said, and in the case of Bornstein, of showing up with a letter already written and just asking Bornstein to sign it.
Mentally healthy? I don’t think so. If ever there was someone who needed a psych eval, it has to be Donald Trump.
He can bring all the psychoses and neuroses and phobias and emotional deficits he wants to running the Trump organization, but the country? No.
Too bad there’s no way to force him to have an independent physical and mental health evaluation the outcome of which he can’t control.
Not surprising, though as Josh as said don’t get your hopes up for Trump having a massive heart attack. He’ll live to be even older, he’ll just be miserable.
All that cash but he couldn’t get a better doctor than this?
he was … indulgent…if you know what I mean …
Now will Dr. Ronny admit to same?
There is, but its not a likely scenario. Under the 25th Amendment, the VP and Cabinet could vote to say he is mentally unstable and have him temporarily removed from office until he submits to an independent mental evaluation. Then Congress would have the option (by 2/3 votes in BOTH Houses) to remove him from office if the evaluation is deemed insufficient.
Just impeaching his orange ass is going to be a lot easier. Then just wait for him to kick the bucket and Ivanka and others will start writing books and making the talk show circuit claiming he was batshit crazy for years.
In the OJ case, someone was brandishing a gun. I think the conventional wisdom, though, is that OJ needed to be punished for something. And while that’s probably not defensible, there is a poetic justice to it.
I guess Dr. Bornstein edited all of the *“Sad!”*s and *“Crooked Hillary!”*s and *“Witch Hunt!”*s out of the letter.
Meanwhile … regulations continue to be rescinded, people continue to be hurt, democracy continues to be destroyed, the country continues to be torn apart, and the Republicans in Congress continue to watch it all happen, openly or secretly helping the efforts or simply nodding in agreement or cowering in fear.
We don’t need to have an independent physical and mental health evaluation.
All we have to do to evaluate his physical condition is watch a video of the fat-ass walking about 25 feet without using a golf cart, and all we have to do to evaluate his mental condition is read his Twitter feed which, if I Tweeted the same way Trump does, would end up with me being put here:
