"He’s been such a failure that the security story is a big one because the world is on fire.”
I’d be remiss if I didn’t inform you sir, but that’s you hair burning.
Benghazi was just the beginning. The evening dovetailed a host of threats coming from both abroad and within the country’s own borders.
The call is coming from inside the house!!
If the world is on fire it is because you GOP a-holes put a match to it the last time we were foolish enough to let you get within a Supreme Court descision of the White House.
Thanks Lauren and Tierney for the good reporting out of Cleveland! Day One over and if I was there it would be Silkwood shower time.
Did any of the TPM coverage mention Steve King’s question: what did non-whites do for civilization?
Seems like a major moment…
… found it, just not on the front page. What a day. Will Tuesday build a crescendo?
This is the moment they have all been waiting for breathlessly, when they can take their collective fuck ups and obstruction and try to hang it all on the opposition. It’s nothing if not sick.
How surprising. Trump ran on such an uplifting, optimistic message.
An emergency call is going out to Sarah Palin to make a surprise convention appearance Wednesday or Thursday, throw some word salad together and spew it out, and save the convention and the Von Trump Family hopes.
Good to see that someone else recognizes her influence on Trump. The only difference is that she is an idiot and trump is a conniving racist and conman.
The Republican fear and testosterone fueled freak show last night was a horrifying display of fear, stupidity and willful ignorance. It was indeed only a shadow of the reality to come if “these people” come anywhere near the presidency of this republic.
Some Trump supporters were screeching “God, guns and guts made this country.” …and by gawwwd’ it looks like the Trump humping Republicans have maintained the ’guts’ part:
Undecideds don’t want to hear this crap. Time for Clinton to pull out a “Morning in America”-type counter.
I don’t see god or guns in that photo, but the third leg of the triumvirate is readily apparent…
Melania’s plagiarism wasn’t the only example from the Trumps.
(Fake, but really funny. Blogger Playonwords fooled me this morning .(formatting on the numbers is wrong + D-convention was a later date that year). rotflmao
Chris Krispy’ will enliven the crowd tonight. He will enter lumbering down the aisles and pulling a cart filled with Big Macs which he will distribute to the audience while bellowing, “You can thank Donald!..You can thank Donald!”
“I think we have to put the mark on Hillary,” Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told TPM. “I think we have to 'do that, and you don’t do that with happy face and cheers.”
What “mark”?
Isn’t “The mark of Cain” used to describe describe black people in some circles, or am I mistaken?
Eight years ago the economy was on the verge of the worst crash since 1929 following 8 years of George Bush’s Conservative Republican economic policies; bin Laden was still on the loose; the president had let a major city pretty much drown; and the country was still being led by the man who, through his own fecklessness and disregard of the warnings from experts, let terrorists fly airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon - so, the answer to your question, Rep. McCaul, is: Yes, we are all undeniably safer than we were eight years ago.
In my mind gloom amd doom has been the over all theme of Trump from day one of his campaign and his “Making America Great Again” slogan.
Everytime I hear that I think, what country are you living in, yes it when through the second biggest economic dip at the end of Bush’s second term, but it turned around, with Obama’s help, and in some aspects is better than Bush’s best time.
What the fuck country are you living in is what I want to ask, especially a rich guy like him that’s actually taken advantage of folks on the rocks?
