And yet … and yet … about two-out-of-five of our fellow citizens still believe it’s a great thing to have Donald Trump in the White House.

Ignore his ridiculous and offensive tweets and think about that, 'cause that’s the very real threat facing this country today.

Sooner or later, somehow or other, Trump will be gone. But the basest of his base supporters will remain. Think about that, and about what that means for any possibility of a decent future for whatever remains on the United States of America.

Trump’s sketchy behavior about trade is causing Mexico and the EU countries to source grain from Latin America, rather than risk a trade-disrupting Tan-Trump/hissy fit later. Trump is hurting Farmers.

The media should stop covering Trump’s stupid, hateful rallies. We don’t need to be subjected to hate speech. Let FOX carry him. A pox on his house.

If NAFTA is terminated (no matter who walks away from the table), you can count on another recession in this country in weeks if not days. At the start of 2017, the American business community really thought Rump was bullsh*tting when it came to renegotiating NAFTA; it was just campaign talk. No way that it would really happen.

Fast forward to now and it’s clear that things are going to get ugly if not quickly then eventually. Mexico isn’t in the mood for any of the regime’s foolishness, Canada has instructed their advisors to just “go around” the regime whenever possible and we have little to no power in Asia anymore. No countries are willing to renegotiate trade deals that give this country better terms. What’s even worse, they don’t have to. Evidence of that is that is other countries are pushing back on AMerica and refusing to concede.

EDIT TO ADD: you can bet your last dollar that none of the Senators and few Congressional Reps. from Texas are going to be in ANY MOOD to talk about a wall in their State. after assessing the damage from Harvey They’ll be other more pressing matters so that’s pretty much DOA in TX.

What a fucking child. I guess he thinks everyone’s attention span and ability to hold and understand many threads of information over a long period of time are as limited as his own. Either that, or tweeting about his greatness is just his form of masturbation.

Just curious – if Kelly What’s-her-name got in hot water for hawking Ivanka’s jewelry, what does #45 get for hawking Clarke’s book (the link in his tweet features a link to Amazon, just in case you have an urge to read it.)

Harvey has been a slow moving wrecking machine. Americans are waking up to the devastation that it has unleashed on Houston, our nation’s 4th largest city and across Texas, the nation’s 2nd largest state which was ‘bigly’ before that term became a thing. I have made many trips to the Houston/Galveston area, have stayed in the Southern Houston region where the flooding appears to be the worst and have driven on that freeway that now looks like a river. Many Americans have similar experiences. The 4th largest city in the country is a big draw for a lot of people who live outside of it.

And where is Trump? Tweeting about nonsense like the dumb shit he is. This is a Nero moment for him. Even his supporters know that you can’t expect Trump to get your back. He’s there to grift, unleash hell on minorities and give ‘fuck you’ moments to liberals and that’s it.

Donnie Johnie once again on the loose… will it never stop?

And his base cheers him on and on as further down the rabbit hole we go.

With the on-boarding of Kelly, the off-loading of Nazis and the recent comments from Cohen, T-Rex and Mattis, I get the sense that the cabinet is basically lining up behind Mattis as the de facto leader of the executive branch.

Mattis is #6 in the line of succession. Here’s a crazy scenario that were I in the levers of gov’t I would promote:

USIC visits Trump/Pence with the kompromat + offer they can’t refuse & forces their resignation; Tell Ryan/Hatch to stand down (use kompromat if necessary); and then T-Rex/Mnuchin would stand down to make way for Mattis as a national unity leader.

The wall was always DOA in Texas. The only people who support it are the people in the exurbs. Big city business is opposed, as are the farmers and ranchers in the rural areas.

All his money for the wall and tax cuts are going to Harvey. The recovery from Harvey will be a multi year, multi billion dollar affair.

Man, they put their highway signs rather low, don’t they?

Wait, you mean that’s how high the water is? Mutherfuuuck!

You mean “Mad Dog” Matthis? Thanks, I’d rather find another unity leader. Maybe “Fluffy Puppy” Pelosi.

The signs aren’t too low. The trucks are too high.
