Discussion: Trump Reportedly Blamed Contract Employee For Lackluster Arizona Crowd

Same old story. Blame someone else and fire him/her.

No wonder Trump brought “The Apprentice” TV show concept to the US. It fits his personality to a T

My, how very, um, Trumpian of him.

We will see more of this appalling behavior, because, over time, the interest in and enthusiasm for repeated revivals will wane. By the time even his most rabid fans have attended a few there will be less willingness to (again) drive hours to hear the same old rah-rah, especially when The Wall hasn’t been built, Hillary hasn’t been locked up, Obamacare is still hanging in there, and the 0.1% get a lot of tax breaks while Grandma pays more.

Enthusiasm for such la-dee-da is a finite quantity.

Wonder what’s gonna happen on the day that Donnie hears from his advisors that he should shitcan the idea because they can’t whip up a big enough crowd. Or, if they are too cowardly to face his wrath ahead of time, they really do let him go to a venue with a few hundred stragglers milling about.

My projection?

We HAVE to figure out how a large number of us can get into one of these insane rallys. Then, w/o any violence, shouting, signs, etc. we get up an leave in droves right at the start of his speech. A few 1st, then 10-15 to catch his attention, then a fast-paced exit by the rest, then all gone in 90 seconds.

This would drive him insanely nuts as he start shouting and goes off-script.

We know your biggest weakness fat-boy and we intend to go for it!

I have to wonder how long it’s going to take people to wise up. Working for Trump is always a losing proposition. You’ll get blamed for whatever Trump wants to off-load, you’ll be tarred with various epithets, and you’ll have trouble getting paid. And later, he’ll deny he’s ever laid eyes on you. Why would anyone put up with this?

It certainly explains why he ran out of respectable attorneys several years ago.

I have come to think that there are some “size” issues that stick with him and remind him of the tiny hands comments (like the size of popular vote (loss), the size of the inauguration crowd) that he becomes compelled to revise into a vision/memory that magnifies the size. So is this line about the HUGE crowds in pheonix going to be another small-penis compensation point for him that he will continue to talk about in speeches, in press conferences, in phone calls with other world leaders, for the next 3 years?

No Donald, the folks in Arizona just aren’t so into you anymore. Per the attendance - it really is all about you.

The thought of a MAGA hat on my head brings a bit of frow-up into my mouf.

So, Ralph, wanna put some money on him NOT making it all about him?

ETA:

(Even if it’s not true, it’s truthy…you can just hear Donnie’s whiny voice saying it, can’t you??)

Lackluster?
Wait… trump said it was the way the crowd went berserk for Arpiao that the former sheriff got his pardon. Now they are "lackluster*?

By the geometric logic of Donnie Two Scoops, the Phoenix crowd was not only massive but also a representative sample of Phoenix.

[ “When I mentioned him the other night, you saw the massive crowd we had,” he said, referring to a rally in Phoenix last Tuesday. “People went crazy when I said, ‘What do you think of Sheriff Joe?’ or something to that effect.”][1]

Meanwhile, here in real life, Trump mustered a lackluster crowd of 10K (in a city of 1.6M). Frankly, if our racist president’s invocation of their racist former sheriff makes the racist crowd “crazy,” so what?

Makes me think of that scene in The Producers (1968) when Bialystock and Bloom, wearing swastika armbands, are leaving Franz Liebkind’s apartment and stop at a trash can to rip them off.

Ugh.

I’d have a better chance in believing in a one-ended stick than I would in believing Trump could pivot.
