Discussion for article #242958

ā€œDon’t knowā€ is 2nd. That must be a source of inspiration for the 2 who are tied for 3rd.

She is happy that her name is even mentioned.

"Real estate mogul and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump..."

mogul
noun moĀ·gul \ˈmō-(ˌ)gəl
Definition of MOGUL

1: also mo·ghul or mu·ghal \ˈmü-\ capitalized : an Indian Muslim of or descended from one of several conquering groups of Mongol, Turkish, and Persian origin; especially : great mogul

2: a great personage : magnate

Based on his utter exaggerations of his own net worth, I’m going with definition #1.

That, of course, makes him our sworn enemy and a terrorist threat. But we all knew that already.

I guess New Hampshire Republicans aren’t stupid. Not yet anyway.

The Donald wants to give some credit for his rise in the polls to his chief New Hampshire political advisor, Harry Baals:

I expect a large wad of ā€œDon’t Knowā€ derives from those who previously were favoring Doctor Ben, and more recently have recognized their enthusiasm may just have been a tad precipitous.

I do jest. Was playing off the Iowa Evangelicals being ā€œstupid.ā€

Whew, I was really starting to worry

Remember though, if Carson regains the lead from Trump in NH then NH Republicans might also get the ā€œstupidā€ treatment. Be prepared.

That’s pretty doubtful, IMO. Carson has a very limited organization in NH, his campaign’s strategy has been that the true believers in Iowa will just hit the road with him to NH. That’s not gonna happen, and even if it did, they would hit the state far too late to have a meaningful impact.

Plus the NYT piece yesterday is going to be pretty devastating to Carson in the wake of the Paris attacks. Smart or stupid, republicans want a Daddy in the White House that they can trust will keep them safe. Having his own staff come out and say the guy hasn’t a clue doesn’t inspire that sort of trust.

This reminds me that you are in Iowa, aren’t you, Davey? When not traveling, I hang my hat in Grinnell.

The Donald says, ā€œSo long Dr. Knowlittle…cause’ in New Hampshireā€¦ā€

And Rubio? Well, time for The Trump Chump to go after the GOPigs’ ā€œAgua Buddhaā€ā€¦their savior!

Piyush gone! Crazee’ Carson dropping like a stone! Now the ā€˜crap of the GOP crop’ is rising to the top …Let the Bagger-pandering unCivil War in the Republican Cult continue. Pass the popcorn.

The nutcase vote (Trump and Carson) is almost 40%. Rubio’s rise is slow, indeed. Actually, it exists only if you are looking for it. So far, at least, the pundits’ support for him as the nominee has failed to translate with the voters. There’s plenty of time for that–or anything else–to happen; the NH primary often changes complexion overnight.

At this point, it looks like Carson, not Trump is the Herman Cain of 2016.

Nope, sorry. I am in FL now, nursing my heel and ankle back to normalcy. I lived in Nebraska (Offutt, I was an AF brat) for about 2 years growing up, and I could see Council Bluffs from my window :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But that’s as close as I got.

Trump: Republican voters are now realizing that Kenyans are just not a good fit in our party.
