“We want total freedom of the press …

As if your desire for some other, inferior level of freedom would prevail?

Oh, and that's a lie. Because you said it.

Practicing decorum is a two-way street. Calling the press “the enemy of the people” hardly sets the scene for decorum in White House relations with the media.

Does Trump mean this kind of decorum? Leading by example.

“What a stupid question that is. What a stupid question. I watch you a lot. You ask a lot of stupid questions.”
“You talk about someone who’s a loser. She doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing… But she’s very nasty…”
"Sit down! I didn’t call you! Such a hostile media, it’s so sad. You rudely interrupted him.”
“I don’t know why you say that, that is such a racist question. Racist. Racist”

I’m quite certain the little kids in cages are thrilled we’re now going to be practicing decorum.

In fact, my dictionary when I looked up decorum referred me to “shithole countries”.

“We have to practice decorum.”

Yeah, right, sure. Things not included in this so called decorum.

The key question here: When will Trump start to behave with a sense of decorum, and most specifically respect when he deals with the press?

Looking at various definitions of “decorum,” I see specific behavioral qualities:

modesty . . .good taste . . .propriety . . .seemliness . . . orderliness . . . dignity . . .politeness

All of these qualities seem uniquely alien to Trump.

Sir, if, in the coming months you exhibit any amount of decorum without having been extensively coached beforehand by your handlers, I will exhibit restraint and courtesy when writing of your beloved wife’s fashion sense for a full year.

It’s the only kind he knows.

President Trump on Friday reacted to a judge’s ruling to reinstate CNN
reporter Jim Acosta’s press credentials, saying, “We have to practice
decorum.”

Something trump has never ever been known for
