Discussion: Trump Reacts To Claims Russians May Have Compromising Info: 'FAKE NEWS!'

Poor Donald. Fake News isn’t so much fun when it’s about him, is it? All those times he yelled “Guilty” at Hillary without a shred of evidence, well I just call this karma. And I’m betting many of those Russia allegations will be shown true.

And a passport is no proof if he was flown in on a private jet that wasn’t checked in through customs. Time will tell.

It was deliciously karmic how this is delivered a little over a week from the Inauguration and on the same day Obama is giving his Farewell Address. Talk about starting 2017 off with a bang.

Cohen could fly into Prague, meet with folks at the terminal and never go through customs, and then fly out again. No need for passport to be stamped.

Trump’s transition team repeatedly declined comment to CNN on its report, citing anonymous U.S. officials, that the President-elect had been presented with a two-page synopsis of allegations that Russian actors have “compromising personal and financial information” about him during a briefing last week with the nation’s most senior intelligence officials.

So, the Russians have Chiselin’ Trump’s tax returns, but he won’t release them to Americans.

Fortunate for Trump that he has such a vast reservoir of goodwill and credibility to draw from under these trying circumstances…

So, that’s what they mean by “trickle down.”

Actually, Cohen could fly basically into anywhere in the Shengen zone (pretty much all of Western Europe), have his passport stamped in, say, Germany, then just drive across the open borders.

That’s more what I’d look at-- is there ANY European entry visa stamped around the proper dates.

Or, he could just be lying!

Not saying it’s true, but showing the outside, or even the inside of a passport, won’t necessarily prove having gone specifically to Prague. Because it’s in the EU, your stamp would be where you went through customs. Withing Europe you can travel without being stamped.

Just saying that, because it bugged. Oh and because I think that Michael Cohen is lying douche.

A lame ‘FAKE NEWS’ tweet 3 hours into the news cycle is the best he could do? Especially since he had advance warning that it was out there (advance warning in his security briefings), It sounds to me like the Trump team was probably befuddled about what to do. The time delay in responding suggests that there was no clean and easy way to respond. If the story is completely or mostly false then the response would have been easy. They could have just loudly and specifically denied that it ever happened without fear of contradiction. But, the delay and the non-specific response would suggest that they fear a trap. They may be fearing that if they are too specific in their denial whomever leaked the report could just be waiting in the tall grass to put out a confirming video. I think this shitstorm is just getting started.

Also, the Czech Republic is part of the Schengen open borders area. Anyone can visit Prague without Czech immigration inspection if one has already entered any of the 25 member nations. An exception may be France, however, which may still have its borders closed due to the state of emergency.

Tweeting a passport proves nothing.

Missed your reply, but exactly!

Don’t have to check Cohen’s passport, just look at the flight list for planes going overseas the time he was supposed have flown to Prague.
