Yes… but his zealous followers are overwhelming convinced that Trump is religiously dedicated to “MAGA” … and to advancing the efforts to keep America white … and keeping minorities in the minority.
And to his followers that is a coherent and laudable mission.

Which is his fundamental weakness; that and he is bone-stupid.

True. But really the parallels to 1930s Germany are very broad and the differences deep. I’m not saying the Trump phenomenon isn’t alarming. But he doesn’t have that many actual followers, and they’re not organized into paramilitary units and so forth. He’s not broadly popular. He’s not an embodiment of a deep-running national spirit. He hasn’t raised the morale of the nation. He totally squandered any opportunity to do constructive things that might have made him genuinely popular and worth reconsideration. He strenuously avoided military service and is a physical, moral, and interpersonal coward. And I’m pretty sure the GOP could get rid of him pretty quickly whenever it felt like it. None of those things were the case with Hitler. So again there’s every reason to be concerned but I don’t think certain parallels to Germany in 1933 are among them.

I guess they’re tired of hating on Hillary. I thought Pelosi would be next. Or Dr. Ford. Nothing is off limits.
And then there’s the media, covering everything Trump, just as they did during the presidential campaign. There was a guy (40-50ish) on Youtube showing video of Trump supporters leaving early, 20 minutes or so, into Trump’s rally. I thought it was … kinda news worthy. One guy with a cell phone raising questions. Meanwhile, MSM, more of the same.

Get your drift, but just between you and me, Trump, his advisers and other Trumpian GOP will not draw the blood themselves, no more than they would go to one of the wars they started or have their kids, family or friends go.
But, if someone else did it, someone that they did not know, but someone that somehow got inspired, then they would cheerlead. That would be just like Trump does now, even after some people have been murdered or hurt, like journalists and counter protesters.
These are people that hide behind others, have always hid behind others, moved up by stepping on others and in their process disregarded other people’s pain, although they understand it well enough for themselves.
So, they do not want the blood spatter on their fine suits, but that’s where the niceties stop.

Putin has tried to intimidate Angela Merkel during face-to-face meetings by using her fear of dogs - and we know how Putin went all-in to prevent Hillary’s election.
