Somewhat ironic and amazing they don’t realize calling the press the same name Hitler used makes their candidate seem like Hitler. Makes me feel better in thinking most Trump voters are idiot racist.

Add: Interesting article how a lot of white nationalist are evolving into being less racist sounding, but still pushing to maintain whites over other races. As well the main theme of as one that was raised and being preened to take over, suddenly dropping out when he finally realized what he was doing wasn’t something he believed anymore.

My buddy from Puerto Rico told me that when he visited Spain they called them “tarzania” (“little tarzans”) because, well, you get the image…cracks me up…

“I see ‘lying press’ and ‘Lügenpresse’ all over the place,”
white nationalist and alt-right leader Richard Spencer told Gray.
“It’s typical Alt Right: serious… ironic… and with a sly reference to boot.”

Wonder how–

Lügner-Kandidat

goes down on the alt-right?
Smoothly would be my hunch.

A better German phrase for them to adpot is “Ich bin ein Verlierer.” Roughly translated, “I am a loser.”

Interesting – Schlagwort translates as slogan or catchphrase, but it is a combination of schlagen (to beat) and wort (word). Seems dead on for Trumpanese…

When Pat Buchanan gave his appalling “culture war” speech at the 1992 GOP Convention, Molly Ivins famously quipped: “That was a nice speech–but I liked it better in the original German.” Molly was prescient, as always.

Tell me again. When the Germans unskewed the press how did that work out for them?

Upon hearing German, most Trump supporters would likely assume they were hearing Mexican.
