Excellent deflection, Donny!

Desperation and misplaced aggression. But so Repugnican.

Just when you thought the this insecure boorish lout could go no lower. How Presidential the world must think of our equivalent of an ignorant insecure attention seeking red suited girly show barker. To childishly raise an issue that has no bearing or relationship to the present or the sober and important issues of this Presidential election for some kind of self attention shock value. Obviously Donny’s mother must not have hugged him enough when he was little to constantly require this desperate need for attention to comfort his maniac insecurities. Just the kind of guy to have his finger on the button.

This is going to be a great General Election. By the end, the Republicans will be camping outside the Supreme Court, begging the Justices to overturn Citizens United.

An October Surprise that is neither. Meh.

Some great advisers he has, helping him find just the right buttons to push to attract female voters.

But Donald, I really want to hear more about this “rough business” of real estate you were in. How “rough” is it?

Wait. Is Bill Clinton running for a third term? No. So FU Trump!

From the Daily Beast:

Ivana Trump’s assertion of “rape” came in a deposition—part of the early ’90s divorce case between the Trumps, and revealed in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump.

The book, by former Texas Monthly and Newsweek reporter Harry Hurt III, described a harrowing scene. After a painful scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot, Donald Trump confronted his then-wife, who had previously used the same plastic surgeon.

“Your fucking doctor has ruined me!” Trump cried.

What followed was a “violent assault,” according to Lost Tycoon. Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.

“Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault,” Hurt writes. “According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me.’”

Following the incident, Ivana ran upstairs, hid behind a locked door, and remained there “crying for the rest of night.” When she returned to the master bedroom in the morning, he was there.

“As she looks in horror at the ripped-out hair scattered all over the bed, he glares at her and asks with menacing casualness: ‘Does it hurt?’” Hurt writes.

Donald Trump has previously denied the allegation. In the book, he denies having had the scalp reduction surgery.

“It’s obviously false,” Donald Trump said of the accusation in 1993, according to Newsday. “It’s incorrect and done by a guy without much talent… He is a guy that is an unattractive guy who is a vindictive and jealous person.”

And yet Suey McSueFace didn’t sue the book’s author. Still wanna talk about rape, Donald? ETA: Please don’t misconstrue this citation as my not taking rape and rape allegations seriously…

Remember when many of the pundits were saying how smoothly Trump would pivot to a more Presidential style? Less of the disgusting, repellent pig sort of thing? Don’t seem to hear that much these days.

"You know, he lost his law license, OK?"

Is Trump asking for Hannity’s approval?

He can’t. That’s out, and the Republican establishment knows it. They’ll have to dance with the one what brought 'em–come what may

“Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick?” Hannity asked. “Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey? In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will.”

All three of em copped interviews and Juanita Broaddrick is again featured in two current articles by conservative outlets.

“And impeachment for lying, and losing your law license. You know, he lost his law license, OK? He couldn’t practice law. And you don’t read about this on Clinton.”

Damn that Wikipedia and its cited source wise too…

he needs to try it out more…to see if it fits.

He’s banking on the idea that enough people will say not doing something about her husband being some sort of sex predator will reflect badly on Hillary Clinton’s character, and deflect from his own.

The country’s heard the ridiculous right wing nonsense about Bill Clinton before and evidently still gives him high approval ratings. Of course, Trump seems to be pulling a a Rove, assuming Bill Clinton is Hillary Clinton’s greatest strength, and trying to bring that down while deflecting or neutralizing his own very real bad behavior. I have no idea whether it will work–Clinton’s defeated this stuff before, but he was president at the time.

I think most women will find that line of attack abhorrent, and I hope many men will, too. But I could also see quite a few people, men and women, saying “she should have done something” – at least, if they believe the charges in the first place.

I really hope I’m overthinking this, and most people see through it. But I also really hope people do not underestimate this man.

So I really hope the primaries finish soon and the Clinton campaign goes all out with counterattacking.

The lawsuit was filed by Jill Harth who then went by Jill Harth Houraney on April 25, 1997. Harth, who was in her early 30’s at the time, alleged that Trump engaged in hostile and offensive sexual behavior towards her from 1992 to 1997 including “groping” her under her dress on several occasions, “forcibly” moving her to his daughter’s bedroom in an attempt to have sex with her, and repeatedly, aggressively and inappropriately propositioning her for sex. She called it “sexually abusive” and LawNewz.com spoke to her in an exclusive interview.

In addition to her personal accounts, Harth made a litany of other claims against Trump including allegations that he had an adulterous affair, that he retaliated against those who crossed him by making sexually charged allegations and even accused him of making “racial slurs.” Harth said that on the same evening of Jan 9, 1993 at a “Calendar Girl” competition Trump directed “any black female contestant to be excluded.”

side-note: can anyone explain how this ‘master of the universe’ bit works? I’m asking because anytime that i have to look for stuff on the 80’s/90’s, I begin to wonder if I could find better things to do with my time.
