In all seriousness, it’s sad that a person with so much experience with attorney-client relationships could remain so destructively ignorant of what’s going on here. If this was actually just any other day I’d wish Trump were more curious and humble. I know, I know, that’s a damned pipe dream. Oh well.

The most interesting question is that raised by @mattinpa and @brooklyndweller. Will Cohen try to cop a plea? It’s been argued persuasively (to me anyway) that Manafort has refused to plead because he is more afraid of death by Russian hands than he is of prison. But I don’t think Cohen faces the same risk of being offed by Russia. I doubt he is so “loyal” to Cadet Bonespur that he would literally take a bullet, or a cup of poisoned tea, for him.

Why would any idiot think that there is any confidentiality between a Russian Mafia hood and his Russian Mafia lawyer?
If there are decades of evidence proving moneylaundering and building trades fraud/extortion, a federal judge has a duty according to our Constitution to issue a warrant to the police. I’m sure a NY and NJ state warrant will follow.
Donald has been flying way too close to the Russian Mafia Sun God since the 1990s and is now being brought back down to Earth as a criminal subject of interest. Nobody including rich conservative windbags is above the law in this country. Trump will get his day in court to prove all of them wrong. Why is he so worried?

This tweet is going to come back to bite him in the ass. I know that everything has to be about trump, but if he had the tiniest grain of understanding or self-restraint or even self-preservation, he would have fined his outrage to what was happening to his trusted advisor, quite possibly on an unrelated matter. Instead he focused with unusual precision on the notion that the raid was about what he and Cohen did together. Which in turn put the spotlight on that big exception to attorney-client privilege. Guilty knowledge.
