Discussion: Trump Pulls Out Of Fox News Debate

I agree with the above comments that this could be a uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge mistake because it makes Trump look like a coward. But I also agree with Trump that his supporters wouldn’t be bothered if he committed murder.

Trump has Iowa in the feed bag.

I thought Trump was a great negotiator. Did he win or lose this deal?

Hope Fox leaves an empty podium for him just to remind everyone one what a wimp he really is.

If he wins Iowa, it won’t matter at all.

If he loses a close race in Iowa, it could be part of the snowball against him.

Even if he loses IA, and he might, he’s still pretty far ahead of the pack.

I would have thought they would fill his slot with santorum.

Good. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Fox is already having a field day with this, and it’s only going to get worse. (He can’t stand up to Megyn Kelly? What’s he gonna do up against Putin?)

Trump just proved that he’s a blustering, petulant adolescent.

Will he bail out of the GOP and launch a third party bid? If yes, he’s toast. If not, same thing. He’ll have a core of angry hangers-on, but he’s hit his ceiling.

At this point, he is just preaching to the choir.

He IS a coward. He’s phoning in this run for president- who makes it a point to stop in the middle of a speech, in a packed venue, to tell security to throw someone out. It’s a fake, a sham, an act to get people to believe he’s tough and smart. He’s been winging it since the beginning and he knows at some point he’s going to have to answer a real policy question. Besides, tRump would be a looooser if he won- he would have to stop making money branding stuff and actually earn a salary!

If you are Fox News,Donald Trump is best for business

Awesome. Watch Terrible Ted try to charge in and use it as a platform, and for the entire party–which is seeking to coalesce around Trump and sink Cruz–to dissolve into confusion.

OH, wittle boy did not get his way and went home to mommy waaaa waaaaa waaaaa…

This is kind of his schtick…

First threatens debate format…

Then threatens and demands $5 million to show…

Then threatens to revive the idea he’ll run as a 3rd party candidate…

Even in business, its kind of his modus operandi…

This guy is so full of petulant hot air. Just once, I’d like to see him follow thru on one of his bullshit threats to its final conclusion. Somehow I think we’d all be better off.

Don’t think it will work against him. I think Cruz will sail in, try to take over, and RNC (who prefer anyone, even Donald, over Ted) will dissolve into panic.

I agree with you. But I don’t think this is him trying to wind it down. Trump thinks like a WWE promoter–“say/do/threaten whatever generates he most eyeballs”. It’s why he’s so fast and so good on Twitter–because he basically doesn’t eve have to think before he reacts. And his mode of reacting has consistently and utterly flummoxed both the RNC and the pundits who have repeatedly said “Okay, this is the thing that’s going take him down,” and consistently been wrong.

Think of the angst in Baggerstan. The bigot they support boycotting the network they love. What’s a bigot bagger to do?
