Or Leonardo DiCaprio might call him next week and he’ll change his mind after a 10 minute phone call.

Who the hell knows.

Such is life with Thimble Thumbs.

No degenerate “formalism” in the arts, “Trumpist Realism”, mindless reality teevee, and re-runs of “Hee-Haw”, that’s the ticket.

I don’t have a subscription to Crain’s Chicago Business so don’t have access to the full article but when Crain’s is promoting the arts in an editorial it’s a big fucking deal: http://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20170311/ISSUE07/170319978/lyric-opera-is-facing-the-music-head-on?mc_cid=5f7d8fa2d7&mc_eid=8e99a50285

And George Will in a WaPo editorial is still upset about Piss Christ!

@reggid got it right. For an egomanic on Trump’s scale, the only art he has any interest in is the art that deifies him. THAT would be totally worth the money…anything else is a waste.

And quite frankly, maybe we should all get behind the idea of opening up the public coffers for a series of really yuge, really bigly portraits of Trump to hang on the walls of the White House…

…because he will become so lost in admiring them (himself) that he won’t have time to do anything else. Hell, maybe just put mirrors on every wall, that might work too.

George Will also thinks that high speed passenger trains are a gateway to collectivism. SMH.

Because everyone can just use their charitable foundations to buy portraits of themselves and used sportsball helmets.

Another honored Rep tradition: despising art in all its forms due to it never glorifying Reps. All they can hope for is low-grade, Reagan era shlock
