Discussion: Trump Proposes Deep Cuts To Social Safety Net Programs

Oh fuck you, Trump. FUCK YOU.

And FUCK YOU, Mulvaney (from Politico):

“There’s a certain philosophy wrapped up in the budget and that is — we are no longer going to measure compassion by the number of programs or the number of people on those programs,” White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, one of the budget’s chief architects, told reporters on Monday. “We’re not going to measure our success by how much money we spend, but by how many people we actually help.”

Mulvaney rejected accusations that Trump’s budget unfairly targets the poor, arguing instead that it amounts to a broad rethink of the country’s welfare system.

“We need folks to work. We need people to go to work. If you’re on food stamps, and you’re able-bodied, we need you to go to work. If you’re on disability insurance and you’re not supposed to be, we need you to work,” he added. “There’s a dignity to work, and there’s a necessity to work.”

Fuck all of you, a whole lot. Unemployment is at 4.5%, thanks mostly to Obama…what fucking jobs are left for you to throw the poor off of benefit and onto? Your Big Factory Comeback is SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

Fuck your “dignity”, and fuck you.

Well , the $100Million ‘commission’ he got on the arms deal isn’t quite enough to keep him living in the custom he’s used to .

Amid all the pestilence and starvation Comrade Cockholster hopes to visit on America, it’s important we remember how much good he’s done in the Middle East, mostly by getting progressive societies like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates “really good deals” on billions of dollars worth of American armaments.

Through these massive sales of high-tech weaponry, he hopes to “Promote the possibility of lasting peach” in that troubled part of the world, according to the White House.

And though we might have people dying in the streets due to lack of food, shelter and medical care here at home, a lasting peach in the Middle East may lead to the next leap forward in our troubled evolution: Endless cobbler.

Trupahu Akbar!

(BTW: That is an unadulterated excerpt from yesterday’s White House press handout. I swear.)

I note how they have made all of Iran into the moral equivalent of Daesh.

He’s going to put us in a shooting war with Iran. You watch.

The GOP would be very happy to see all of the “urban welfare queens” (decode that as you will) back down south picking cotton – you know, like when America was great before.

Unemployment is at 4.5% and 42 million people are on food stamps. I don’t think the fucking problem is that people on food stamps aren’t working you assholes. They aren’t getting paid a living wage for the work they do. Republicans are mean to the fucking bone.

It has never been more obvious , for the mental and physical health of America, Trump must be cut from our lives. There is no way forward for America as long as this mental case has a say in our collective destiny.

Once again, the modern GOP shows it is a heartless beast that shows noting but disrespect to the majority of Americans who have suffered under the 30+ years of its ill-advised, draconian and ruthless transference of wealth to the already rich.

The Republican Party of the 21st century is the most regressive, uncompassionate and downright disgusting major political movement since the Germany of World War II.

…cutting $95 billion in highway formula funding for the states…

This must be that fabulous infrastructure plan we’ve been promised.

That could be prevented via internal bickering at the White House over whether we should go to war with North Korea or Iran first.

Trump is rich and so he thinks everyone else has enough as well. He has no idea what it is like living paycheck to paycheck and sometimes not making ends meet. As one who was homeless in his 20’s I know whereof I speak. Thankfully I’m not there anymore. But trump never in his life ever faced having everything he owned in a pick up truck called home. Downsizing is not always pleasant.

Wait, I thought Donnie was going to take care of the little folk?

What happened? It’s almost like he wasn’t telling the truth…

Well, at least it’s the red states taking the biggest hits, so I guess karma does work.

Ain’t that just peachy? Is it genetically modified to be “lasting”?

The biggest, most bloated government welfare entity is called The Military. We obscenely pour hundreds of billions of tax dollars into the gaping, insatiable maw of defense contractors, yet it’s never enough. The poor, in the GOP’s cruel agenda, can suck on it. The US really is approaching, if not exceeding, the inequity and income disparity of the 1920s. Trump is the embodiment of everything that’s wrong with our elite rulers and their attack on the most vulnerable in our society. We must clean House (and Senate) in 2018. Vote, people!

That has been the idea from the start.
That was how he got the support of Sheldon Adelson and his butt-buddy Netenyahu, by promising to attack Iran.
He is arming the Saudi’s for the same reason, to support the US attacking Iran.
The blood-feud between the Sunnis and Shiites goes back a thousand years, yet the moron in the White House is going to support the destruction of the entire Middle-East simply because he sucks up to any Billionaires he meets, Putin, or Saudi and is blinded by his own greed, arrogance, and stupidity.
He remembers how “great” it felt to lob some missiles at an empty air base in Syria and how much of a bump in his support it got him and the slavish tongue-baths from the MSM who are desperate for a WAR to increase ratings and ad revenue.
He sees no “downside” to an attack on Iran and will use the resulting chaos to bury the “Russia Thing” and to impose Martial Law in response to the inevitable terrorist attacks it will provoke within the US while at the same time increasing the price of Russian and American Oil by 500% (due to the closing of the Straits of Hormuz.)
It’s a “win-win” for him.
Bet on it happening in late summer 2018 or just before the election if it still looks like the Republican blood-bath it appears to be now.

As far as I know (I actually prefer not to ask), both of my sisters voted for Trump. One of them owes her child’s life (and her family’s financial solvency) to the CHIP program, which is also on the block for severe cuts. The other has a husband who is on disability. Yet they totally buy into the idea that the government is robbing them to give money to welfare cheats. It’s sickening.

Now you know, every mealy mouthed bullshit “statement” about compassion and assisting our fellow man in the wake of Manchester is incredibly cynical and disingenuous…we are not even willing to invest in the long term welfare of our own citizenry.Trump has again proven to be a profligate liar. Trump’s disgusting excuse for a budget director may be the most vile person to ever yap into a microphone.Viewing Ryans press conference just now, it is obvious these current legislators have no sense of decency or the insight necessary to engage rank and file Americans. They are fomenting an environment in the country where people will be forced to confront them directly on their idiotic policy ideas or perish. It is becoming that dire.

PP hates his voters. He told them what they wanted to hear by simply repeating headlines from Republican whack job websites. He told them he’d preserve the programs they depend on while taking those social programs away from the undeserving. But he ultimately hates them and sees them as the useful idiots they are. That’s why his team produced this budget. They have no respect for these people and know his voters are ultimately so slavishly devoted to PP that it won’t matter. They can slap rural America around all they want because rural America is just going to say, “That’s OK, just make sure you slap those minorities harder.”
