Use of an official statement by the âpresidentâ to peddle his private business is a violation of so many laws I canât list them. Can some brave prosecutor indict Trump now?
The only âweak holeâ appears to be the one from which these words emerge. Of course, the owner of said âweak holeâ may have others but the contemplation of that possibility is painful, if not disgusting.
There are black holes and there are weak holes ⌠both appear to inhabit the offal office.
there are no weak holes
Scots have been doing their Kegels, then?
Next heâll be doing late night infomercials.
I hope he enjoys paying the Scottish governmentâs legal fees. He canât even win for himself, let alone the country.
Oh, wait, Hawtree is the architect!
Dr. Martin Grant Hawtree is a golf course architect who designed
or altered such golf courses as Royal Birkdale. Hawtree is currently
working with Donald Trump to create Trump International Golf Links in
Scotland.
So shameless self-praise is a requirement for working for Trump.
I hope he enjoys paying the Scottish governmentâs legal fees. He canât even win for himself, let alone the country.

Hilarious. But why do I think the abomination will try to pass these legal costs along to the american taxpayers?
Havenât you realized yet that ârulesâ and âlawsâ are for the little people, not the imperial higness, Dotard the Orange?
Seems like Cohen testimony inadvertently emboldened him to openly promote his businesses. He seems to be playing a strategy of âcatch me if you can.â Unfortunately there is no legal mechanism at present to stop him from enriching himself while in office. At the end of the day 4 years or 8 heâll have amassed a pile for himself.
Thanks for the emoluments lawsuit ammo dumb dumb.
The DOJ guidance about not indicting a sitting president had normal presidents in mind, not someone like Trump.
Indict the motherfucker.
The Republicans in Congress have let him be the exception to all expectations and requirements of decency, ethics and law. Let him be the exception to this DOJ guidance, too
I suspect not. His Presidency has brought all kinds of attention to his businesses. There may be little left by the time he leaves office, once various prosecutors get finished sorting through the bank fraud, tax fraud, and money laundering. Beyond that, his âbrandâ will be worthless, and most of the TO assets are probably underwater (phony valuations donât produce high liquidation proceeds).
Plus the fact that he has a lot less to begin with then it might appear.
⌠has no foundation in law that Iâve been able to identify. It would be like the DOJ just âdecidingâ that it wonât indict people for bank robbery any longer. Because reasons.
From The Atlantic, 12/18/15
tRump loses his status as an honorary ambassador for Scottish business
https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/donald-trump-axed-as-scots-business-ambassador-1-3971000
and was stripped of an honorary degree from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen
tRump lashed out at the decision, accusing the Scottish government of a âfoolish, small-minded, and parochial mentality.â
They know him well and like him not so much in Scotland.
They may not indict him but surely Congress can pass a motion censuring the President for unseemly and inappropriate promotion of his private businesses.
