Discussion: Trump Privately Told Aides For Weeks He Wants To Pull Out Of Syria 'Very Soon'

From the man who excoriated Pres. Obama for announcing a timetable of withdrawal from Iraq.

Setting aside that this may have roots in Putin’s hold over him, I guarantee you he has latched onto the idea that he needs a big popularity boost for November and that declaring victory over ISIS is a way to get it.

“An American withdrawal would also likely cede Syria to Russia, which along with Iran has been propping up Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces and would surely fill the void left behind by the U.S.”

Simple explanation—helps Putin, screws Allies.

Commander Tangerine’s 130k for keeping quiet apparently is not working for Syria either.

But then again, there’s this:

Some U.S. commanders say what they perceive as a lack of guidance from the White House — which sent Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster packing in a 9-day span — is threatening their mission to destroy ISIS. Cracks are showing in America’s alliance with the Kurds of northern Syria, who question whether they can rely on the U.S. under President Donald Trump.

"We’re on the two-yard line. We could literally fall into the end zone. We’re that close to total victory, to wiping out the ISIS caliphate in Syria,” one U.S. special forces commander told NBC News. “We’re that close and now it’s coming apart.”

Regional stability and the safety of the entire world subject to the whims of the most unserious person on earth. You could drink Scotland dry and not get over worrying about it. But here we are, mofos.

There’s nothing in being teetotal
And saving a shilling or two
If your money you spend you got nothing to lend
Well that’s all the better for you
There’s nae harm in taking a droppie
It ends all your trouble and strife
It gives you a feeling that when you get home
You don’t give a hang for your wife

Nah, too complicated for Cadet Bonespur’s feeble collection of ganglions.

He was comme complaining to Putin about the pressure he was under from the whole world to expell some Russian diplomats after that wholr nerve gas thing, and Putting offered to let him kick out some filing clerks if he pull America out of Syria. Since the Orange Menace can’t even find Syria on a map, he replied “why not!?!”

The Art of the Deal, indeed…

This. 100%. His old pal Vlad still has the goods on Fat Nixon and the mounting scandals on the domestic side even without Vlad’s add’l kompromat is putting even more pressure on Fat Nixon. Don’t forget that Fat Nixon didn’t say a word about the UK ex-spy poisoning until after he spoke w/Putikins and he asked that the Ukraine arms not be discussed.

What the fck did they expect when they helped elect a fcking moron? He lost interest in ISIS many months ago. That was so last year…

This must be where he plans to get the money from the Pentagon to build the wall.

So lemme get this straight…we’re gonna leave Syria and abandon the Kurds in Northern Iraq to allow ISIS to regroup, Turkey to destabilize the Kurdish region, and allow Russia to further solidify Assad’s control over Syria and enable them to use far right Sunni extremist groups (ISIS, Al Nusra, and re-branded variants) to target Sunni opposition to Assad + Kurds? What a disaster. The idea that Trump should speak for the US on any foreign policy matter is insane.

That exactly my thought. Vladdie wants the US out of his way and his Cheeto Puppet says, yessir, yessir, three bags full.

Technically, Trump hasn’t announced “a timetable,” and this is Syria rather than Iraq, so it is totally different . . . or some such twisted logic to make it seem that he isn’t simply being weak and following the orders of his puppet master. (I wonder if Putin told him to do this when he called to congratulate him on his election “victory.”)

Maybe this is a way for Trump to make up for expelling the Russian diplomats over the whole UK poisoning.

This puts our forces in Syria in a very dangerous situation. He is going to have blood on his hands.

My first thought was that it was similar to his response to Puerto Rico. He isn’t getting enough praise for what is happening, and it’s costing money that he thinks he can just divert to the wall. Therefore, it isn’t worth pursuing.
Perhaps we can suggest that he go to Syria for a huge victory parade,
