Let’s see, Italy is bordered by: the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, France, Switzerland, Austria and … let’s see, Slovenia - Ah Ha!

his (Trump’s) administration is expected to begin negotiations quickly on avoiding tariffs on automobiles and removing trade barriers.

The Euros accused Trump of “exaggerating” his talk of a deal. More AP stenography.

Talking to the wrong half of Italy’s dual PMs–Salvini is the one. Italy wants the EU to be rid of the policy that the country where immigrants first land has to be the one to handle them. Italy is the primary destination of cross Mediterranean immigrants so it feels it has shouldered too much of the burden. The EU is trying to come up with better policies as I write this.

Italy, Malta and France all refused to let the vessel disembark.

Vessel’s don’t disembark. Passengers on vessels do disembark from said vessels.

Is Trump still doing the “yank your arm off to prove what a strongman I am” handshake?

Th ey aren’t dual PMs. Conte is the PM and a populist. Salvini is the foreign minister and a fascist.

T rumpp just hates those Slovenians.

And San Marino.

Traditionally the Russians and Italians are close. They like each other and it’s my understanding that Italy is turning toward Russia as we slip into insanity here.

San Marino reminds me of one of those flavored Italian soft drinks, like Orangina. Maybe that’s how the Dotard gets his orange skin color.

But, i think San Marino is plenty safe from T rumpp. The hill is too steep for him to get there, and there is no golf course or T rumpp hotel.

Conte, in brief remarks, thanked Trump for his “warm hospitality.” Trump told him “you’ll always be treated warmly.”

Oh God, there’s another pee tape.

Well now Italy has a lot to answer for all those wars of foreign conquest dating back for over 2000 years. You know a young man from the provinces used to be able to make a name for himself in Rome, like say Trajan. Or the Romans used to grant citizenship to a whole bunch of non Latins.

Ah more warm water ports for the Russian navy.
