“Honor among thieves.” Both of them are utterly despicable excuses for human beings.

Erdogan’s security is also involved strongly.

Dear Mr President.

By any common definition of the word, you have no friends.

Sycophants, flunkies, toadies, lying dictators from around the world - but no friends.

"…Edorgan commented on the scores of journalists currently jailed in his country: “Most of them are terrorists,” he said. “Everyone else seems to think they’re journalists just because they say so.”

Jeese even a furriner can express Trumpspeak better than Trump.

I swear, Trump says or does the wrong thing every single motherfucking time. And when he doesn’t, he still does, because you can tell he wants to and you know he probably will later.

It really sucks being unable to EVER look at the news without getting another surge of cortisol. This guy has probably taken a collective billion years off the life expectancy of all the humans alive today (and who knows how many he may yet take off of the survival of the species itself).

He’s like a walking talking speedball of stress hormones delivered straight to our brains by the media 25 hours a day and 8 days a week. I want my 2018 midterms and I want 'em now!

Last night at temple, one of the “lucky” ones, a survivor of the Shoah, described to my little boy, in chilling detail, his childhood memories of watching thugs viciously beat political opponents on the streets of Germany.

He said he never imagined that he would see – in America – the same evil that (in his words) “has come back out of the cave” under Trump, in incidents like this one and Charlottesville.

The horror he described from so long ago paints a picture, almost word-for-word, of what this video shows: Erdogan’s brown shirts attacking men, women, and children (with strollers!) here and now, on our own soil.

“They’re not going back into the cave,” he said, unless those in office strike back forcefully, unambiguously, and instantly, to repudiate and stop it dead in its tracks.

But from this White House and Congressional majority, he lamented, there is only cowardice and crickets.

“But from this White House and Congressional majority . . . only cowardice and crickets.”

And plenty of tacit approval and, in Trump’s case, outright praise.

Erdogan says Trump apologized about the incident of 15 Turkish security officials and 4 others being indicted… Trump and the White House deny there was an apology, but confirm the topic was discussed. And I’m in the spot of believing the strongman despot President of Turkey over the wanna-be strongman despot of the U.S.

I can see why´d they´d get along: they both like their minions to beat the crap out of their opponents. And don´t think for a minute that Trump wouldn´t jail thousands of journalists and academics, à la Erdogan, if he could get away with it.

"We’ll be discussing many issues,” [Trump] said. "Many issues.”

I suspect that Chiselin’ Trump actually meant to recycle some of his initial remarks on Charlottesville, but didn’t quite remember them incorrectly: We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides.
