But of course Trump won’t be leaving town. That would be so, so unpresidential. He’ll just pace around in his bathrobe and fume and tweet and work himself up into a giant toddler-style tantrum about it all. It’s as predictable as the tide tables by now. Whining like a spoiled brat—now that, that’s presidential.

The WH legislative affairs dipshit was on NPR this morning. He was asked the very sensible question, “If Democrats have leverage in the Senate, isn’t it time for Republicans to compromise? What compromise has been offered by the GOP?”

His answer was, “We’ve been compromising this whole time! What have the Democrats offered?!?”

Democrats don’t need to offer shit, bro. Who gets to write the proposed bill? Your guys. If you wanted to lure Democrats using true compromises (vs the obvious shame-vehicle of CHIP) who would be responsible for crafting those compromises? You guys. Better go read Cheetolini’s ghost-written book.

Is it so far-fetched to suspect that Trump is pushing for a government shutdown to distract from revelations of the magazine-spanking/daughter look-alike porn star? I’m going to give this allegation at least as much credibility as Trump and the GOP gave to President Obama not being born in the U.S.

You have to admire the poetry. Not even being able to keep the government running on your first anniversary? It’s perfect.

I think the offer was you repair the damage you did to this country, protection-racket style, when you broke CHIP and DACA. You’re not getting concessions for breaking stuff, you cheap, chiseling crooks. You fix that and you get the government funded. Simple.

Can the secret conversations be any worse that what he spews publicly?

Well, logically, what’s said in private is bound to be more, uh, candid. The policy equivalent of magazine spankings and so forth.

If we have learned anything from the political careers of Richard Nixon and Dumblefuck the Tangerine Nightmare it is this:

No matter how bad you think something is, there is something worse lurking in the background.

Will Donald Trump REALLY be clueless enough to throw a big-ass gala party at Mar-A-LardAss for a bunch of heartless rich ass-kissers while the government is shut down - a party of uncaring, selfish people dancing while the government crashes, which will be shown as headline news on TV every night for the nation to see as the incompetent GOP members are desperately trying to blame the Democrats for this disaster?
Do I even have to answer that question?
