It’s only when it looks like he will get caught that he pays the taxes he owes US? And he wants a job working in our government?

“Donald Trump’s pick for White House budget director, failed to pay over $15,000 in payroll taxes for a babysitter…”

It’s a feature, not a bug.

“I have come to learn during the confirmation review process that I failed to pay FICA and federal and state unemployment taxes on a household employee for the years 2000-2004,” Mulvaney said.

“I hope also to discover I have not paid any income tax ever and have groped countless women while wearing a Marx mustache and eyeglasses when someone brings this up in some highly unlikely scenario.”

$15k in taxes? Triplets?

Most likely a nanny then, not a babysitter.

It is almost unbelievable that these well connected pols of the Republican side just slough off their cheating activities. Had he not been nominated this matter would have never come to light and the taxes would not have been paid. Of course this should be a disqualifier but it won’t matter to Trump who is filling the swamp with more slimy critters.

That was one well-paid babysitter for him to run up $15,000 in payroll (FUTA and FICA) taxes.

This should tank his appointment. By the early 2000’s, everyone knew about paying taxes for household workers and nannies precisely because of the “nannygate” issue from the 1990s. He wasn’t unaware - he’s just a cheater.

Exactly. Nice use of the passive voice, there, Bubba.

And, once again, Trump picks only the best people.

…and he will drop his tail between his legs and drop his bid to become Budge Director…

It should

However how much capital does Trump want to burn up fighting this?
