Discussion: Trump Personally Targets WaPo Owner By Pushing Postal Rate Hike For Amazon

Read somewhere that $1 out of every $2 spent online goes through Amazon. Might be fun to see Amazon tack the increase on to everything shipped identified as some sort of “Trump Tax”.

I will offer a bit of honest-to-goodness true news for new readers of political journalism. Here goes …

Trump does not have the first clue of what he’s talking about. Oh - and he’s an idiot on purpose.

Amazon should have its lawyer wear a wire and meet with Trump and offer a large bribe in exchange for backing off. Seriously.

I wish someone would personally target Trump’s flaunting of the emoluments clause

Any one using Amazon will have their tax cut canceled out.

…many Trump attacks on Amazon — which include accusing the Washington Post of being its “chief lobbyist” — are driven by articles in the newspaper he didn’t like.

This is a direct assault on the first amendment. In broad daylight.

As you can see, the president is very busy with important presidenting things and will not be able to sit for an interview with the Mueller team until at least 2021.

If I were Bezos I’d stop doing business with the USPO. Basically Amazon is keeping the PO afloat. Good luck getting mail to your rural base without the PO, idiot.

I like the idea, if the rate hike were to go through.

Trump cannot legally force the Post Office to double Amazon’s rate.

These things have to go through the regulatory commission process and be approved.

All Spanky has done is show how thin-skinned he is regarding WaPo—and how ignorant he is of government and law.

Amazon users could send Dump Trump bumper stickers to Mar-a-Largo with Amazon Prime.

Does Cheetolini ever see an agreement that he doesn’t want to blow up?

This is something that occurs in autocratic regimes. The leader in charge personally attacks by name a thriving concern and falsely accuses them of being disloyal to them or the regime.
A so called pro business administration really isn’t interested in letting the market work. Investing in public goods that improves the ability for their business to thrive. As well as sensible regulations so there is a even playing field. Being a thug merely playing to the base is their reason for existing.

Abusing the immense power of the office of the Presidency…again. This is a very obvious first amendment violation against Bezos, Amazon, and WaPo. Trump, like a mafia don, isn’t the least bit subtle about it. I’m not a big fan of Amazon, but I hope Bezos sues Trump and the Federal government. Discovery would prove very interesting.

Since Amazon business is basically the only thing keeping the US Post office from going totally bankrupt, I’d rather they just cancel their business with USPS and let Trump explain the massive loss of income. Amazon is a huge client, there are plenty of delivery services that would love that business…

Here is a thought, maybe Jeff Bezos will see the narcissist-in-chief as a business threat and use his vast fortune to rid the country of the infestation ruining our White House.

Trump needs to read Article I, Section 9, Clause 3 of the Constitution: “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.” Then he needs to get at least one of the many attorneys surrounding him to explain what this means before he proves even more what an absolute BOZO he is.
