Important reminder:
Plame’s name was not “leaked”. An undercover CIA agent was deliberately outed to a conservative columnist by a Bush administration official in an act of revenge against the agent’s spouse.

Another important reminder:
The Special Counsel who investigated the Plame outing was appointed by Bush’s new deputy attorney general, because Attorney General Ashcroft recused himself. The deputy was one James B. Comey.
