This is the MO of Trump and his “organization.” They threaten to sue and claim they will “never settle.” Then, when push comes to shove, they settle! Not news, and not surprising. He’s so full of crap his eyes are brown. Never believe anything he says or tweets. As another wit noted, I’m not even sure his name is “Donald Trump.”
Oddly enough by winning (unfairly, if not illegally) the election and seeing the Trump-run restaurant rack up huge revenue (by people interested in currying favor with the President rather than flavor in their food), Trump couldn’t show any harm from Andres pulling out of the deal. I watched part of the deposition that Trump gave in this case - what a dolt. The defense was basically saying - are there any limits to what one party to a contract can say about the other that harms the partner (e.g. Andres food sucks and gives you the runs) yet still be bound to that contract? Trump keeps saying - I have a lease.
