On any other day of the week that ended in the letter ‘y’ this would be big news and an even bigger scandal. But noooo…not this week. Too much competes with what can only be seen as a plethora of scandals in which this is just one of many. Its just one of many ethics violations that most GOPers have also chosen to ignore and enable through inaction. Its really corruption on a massive scale.

Petitioning a foreign gov’t on behalf of one’s personal business affairs, that this Asshole in Chief should have divested himself from, is the epitome of using his office by way of his lawyers to influence an outcome in his favor over a legal matter that was still pending. So nice to see Panama didn’t fall for tRump’s shitty arm-twisting tactics in their courts.

Well it would be nice to believe none of this kind of shit ever went on with other politicians, businesses, and countries, but at least with Donald it’s wide open and easy to try and fix.

Imagine if Hillary or Obama had a set up like Trump does.
GOP Congress would be open, debating, screaming, investigating, impeaching 24/7 until they rounded up and executed all Democrats and even gop members who hesitate.

My understanding is that this is a building mgmt contract dispute. Has such an intervention request ever be sent to a head of state in the past? Can someone provide an example?

In some ways, that’s exactly what they’re still trying to do. They still want to re-litigate every fucking thing Hillary did as Secretary of State, even though she’s been a private citizen for a year and half now and is no longer in politics. And blaming Obama is tRump’s go-to #1 blame-shifting verbal tic. Its the proverbial “squirrel” move these pukes play over and over and over again, wasting tax payer money in an effort to shift attention away from the current Man-Baby in the White House who’s tearing this country to shreds by sheer incompetence and malignant malfeasance.

Actually it’s over 5 years now.

Its not just petitioning a foreign government on behalf of one’s personal business affairs. He is quite literally threatening the foreign government with US sanctions unless they take care of his personal business affairs. That is considerably worse.

I am pretty damn sure we are going to see even worse when and if we find out where Kushner got a $1.2 billion bailout for his building. All indications point to him out and out selling classified US intel to Saudi Arabia. Not to even mention what was pretty clearly a shake down of Qatar for money and embargo of Qatar when they refused.

There was a book published back in W’s term called “The House of Saud/The House of Bush” that detailed how deeply intertwined Saudi Arabia had made themselves with the Bush family. Apparently they have wasted no time in doing the same to the Trump extended family. And why wouldn’t they? Kushner presents himself as the perfect target.

Yeah, you’re right in that sense, but I was referring to how long she’s been out of the political arena as a candidate for office.

I stand corrected and whole-heartedly agree with you. It is so much worse. Middle Eastern ‘policy’ in this administration is a farce…and the level of classified secrets being handed over in the process for Jared’s personal greed, is nothing short of treasonous. The fact that Congress stands by idly and allows this shit to happen without any oversight just boggles the mind.

Oregon’s governor says that if President Donald Trump asks to dispatch members of her state’s National Guard to Panama City and the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower, she’ll “say no.”

In a set of tweets Wednesday, Democratic Gov. Kate Brown said she was “deeply troubled” by Trump’s plan to send members of the US military to Panama City and the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower and implied that the President is doing so as a political distraction.

It does seem forever ago that she was the SoS and Obama was POTUS.

During these endless daily scandals, I am so yearning for those days.
