This is puerile. Looks like Pereshitident Anusmouth-Putindicholster is gagging from the acrobatic effort of sucking on white christian supremacists’, Putin’s and his own.
Note to the spineless CEOs who did not follow the Merck CEO’s principled lead and the cover it provided. Instead, they insisted on brown nosing Preshitident Anusmouth-Putindickholster. Did you not take ethics in business school? Don’t you have any standards in your company?
It is time for the company’s boards to review the CEOs’ actions, statements and decisions and assess whether they have the judgment, leadership qualities, temperament, and fitness to remain on the job.
This is a vicious circle spiraling rapidly downward.
Now that CEOs have abandoned him along with most of America, he’ll latch on even tighter to his life-raft, his only true supporters, the white supremacists and neo-Nazis.
I don’t have the imagination to know how it’s going to continue to devolve, oh, but it will.
Trust me, they did not fled because they are brave, they fled because they are afraid. Brave would have been if they had said “I stand with President Trump and I don’t care if my company gets boycotted and I get sacked by the Board”.
We tend to equate “bravery” with all that’s good, but it’s not the same thing. As has been pointed out who is the bravest? the one that flies an airplane into a building or the one that directs a missile into a hut from half a wold away?
It’s a special breed of rat who wants to board the sinking ship. It’s an even more special breed of captain who claims he sunk the ship on purpose to spare the rats their trouble.
If you look at 3M’s message, it doesn’t seem that the idea is for anything other than self-aggrandizement for him and his corporation. At least the rest at the guts to point out that it is 45’s positions that caused them to leave.
And I say that, living 20 miles from 3M corporate HQ.
Isn’t this a break for all the other CEOs El Bufon has lined up begging to get onto his commissions?
Let’s see, there’s the ShamWow guy,
Is Joe Isuzu still working for that company?
Does Mooch still have his title?
Interesting to listen to the first part of his speech, about 7 minutes, yesterday when he was actually talking about the original subject of trying to help infrastructure building. It amazing all the things he “knows” so much about. He probably could have been a millionaire on his own as a used car salesman.
Tough luck, Trump. You didn’t disband the group fast enough to avoid deep embarrassment. Just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean they’re not all out to get you.
"So many other things, Henry Ford is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice. Andrew Carnegie, Johnny Rockefeller, and dozens more CEO Americans who made America what it is today. Big impact.”
Exorbitant CEO pay means that the fruits of economic growth are not going to ordinary workers, since the higher CEO pay does not reflect correspondingly higher output. CEO compensation has risen by 807 or 937 percent (depending on how it is measured—using stock options granted or stock options realized, respectively) from 1978 to 2016. At 937 percent, that rise is more than 70 percent faster than the rise in the stock market; both measures are substantially greater than the painfully slow 11.2 percent growth in a typical worker’s annual compensation over the same period.
