Most of his supporters think irony is what the wife does to their shirts.

Trump’s fundraising has been ā€œincredible.ā€ That’s going to keep the chuckles going all day long.

From Josh’s piece earlier today:

ā€œEven more revealing is the fact that Trump has been using a huge amount
of campaign expenditures to cycle money back through his own businesses.
According to an analysis by the AP, through the end of May Trump had plowed
$6.2 million into various Trump companies, which is to say, back into his own pocket.
That’s roughly 10% of his > campaign spending so far, which is almost entirely from
the loan (which > he can still repay to himself out of future fundraising) he made to his
campaign. He kept up the pace in May, spending $6.7 million on his
campaign and more than a million of that to various Trump enterprises.ā€

Here’s the real reason why Corey was let go by the campaign: Lewandowski is now wheeling a shopping cart down the highway looking for aluminum cans to take to the recycling center in order to raise funds for the Trumpster.
Hey, I’d consider that a promotion in this dumpster fire of a campaign.

why does he look like he’s about to launch into a Bobby Darin medley?

ā€œIf need be, there could be unlimited ā€˜cash on hand’ as I would put up my own money, as I have already done through the primaries, spending over $50 million dollars," Trump said in the statement. "Our campaign is leaner and more efficient, like our government should be.ā€

That’s how Magneto will get you in the ā€œX-Menā€ movies, because your blood is too ā€œironyā€.

Apparently, Donald, the term ā€œleaner and more efficientā€ doesn’t apply to that fat ass of ours. Or your mouth, for that matter.

Incredibly bad.

Or Baghdad Bob.

ā€œBreathtakingā€, as Elaine from Seinfeld would say.

  1. Trump didn’t ā€œpourā€ $46 million of his own money into his primary campaign. He lent $46 million to his campaign that he appears to have raised by liquidating his semi-liquid assets and borrowing. If he’s got as much as a couple of million in unleveraged assets left, I’ve seen no evidence.

  2. Trump pushed yoooooge amounts of his campaign money, 6.2 million back into his own businesses and then there’s that intensely scummy 30K for ā€œweb advertisingā€ to a ā€œDraper Sterlingā€ agency whose address is a single house in New Hampshire. But when you realize that Trump fully intends to repay the loans to himself out of campaign contributions from suckers, you see the depth of the scam here: he’s not self-funding; he’s intending to make a profit!

  3. Of all the dodgy, scummy, scammy expenditures, it’s the hundred plus grand to ā€œTrump Payroll Corp.ā€ that leaps out at me. He’s got thirty fucking employees. How can it cost 100K to write their payroll checks? And then there’s the part where he seems to be paying himself a salary.

C’mon! Trump has been loaned to Trump-who-is-in-the-race for a fee.The funds raised by Trump the pursuer of contributions will be paid into Trump-who-is-in-the-race who in turn will pay Trump a fee for the loan of said TrumpFFF.

How is any of this legal? I can’t see how funneling campaign funds back into businesses is legal, except as payment of loans from the businesses to the campaign.

I always did think this entire candidacy was just another way to sell his name; to increase the value of the Trump label.
