The president, as could have been foreseen, was a gentleman and a diplomat (and showed more patience than I could have) in the matter of Harrumph. He only stated what reasonable people already know but MSMS doesn’t, that the casino magnate isn’t going to be president.

I’m starting to notice a pattern that way myself. 
But seriously it’s apparent how brilliant Obama can be at psyops. The correspondents’ dinner smackdown was brilliant in its way. But this is even brillianter—Obama has figured out, as maybe Rubio has started to as well, that the way to get under Trump’s skin is to talk about him in an offhandedly dismissive way. I’m sure it makes him crazy.

Trump doesn’t take kindly to being damned with faint praise. These types of reactions from Trump could be evidence of a cold and distant father, whose affection and approval Trump always sought, but likely never garnered.
