Discussion: Trump On Defensive With Iran, Child Migrants, Foreign Dirt During NBC Interview

Of course he didn’t. When tRump said that his declared acceptance of information from foreign governments was fake news Chuck Toad SHOULD have countered by asking how exactly video footage of tRump saying exactly that several times in succession was fake.

But no. Toad moves on and trump continues to spew lies.

Though he denied using the kids as political leverage, Trump said the situation at the centers would be fixed “immediately” if Democrats passed more restrictions on migration.

From March of 2017:
John Kelly continued: “Yes I’m considering (separating migrant children from their parents), in order to deter more movement along this terribly dangerous network. I am considering exactly that. They will be well cared for as we deal with their parents. … It’s more important to me, Wolf, to try to keep people off of this awful network.”

Is Chuck Todd the Wolf Blitzer of David Greenes?

Or the David Brooks of Mark Halperins?

So hard to decide…

And why, oh why wasn’t Chuck Toad prepared with that as counter to tRump’s claims that it is someone else’s fault?

Rhetorical question.

Chuck, U.S. Chrome called. They want you to stay away from their products.

Typical blowhard fat boy. Make someone the demon, ratchet up the crazy, issue threats, cause chaos and then dial it back down. All in service of what he most desires," a win." What a despicable POS.

He’s the Ted Baxter of Ron Burgundys.

He is Canadian - and though he has not (as far as I am aware) ever worked for our public broadcaster those worth their salt in the private sector have to up their game because the CBC has some pretty damned competent journalists.

We’re happy to oblige. Vote out the Republican Senate and vote us in. We can fix it.

McConnell won’t try any solution unless Trump approves. There’s the bottleneck.

Which is of course the very definition of using those children as leverage.

Without Baxter or Burgundy’s charm.

He inherited ACA and a raft of other policies from the PBO administration too. He didn’t mind taking those apart.

11,000 documented lies so far.

What is the point of interviewing, or listening to him?

Young people are, at times, impulsive and need guidance. However, when one looks at popular uprisings in most countries, one sees young people advocating for change.

If the U.S. had had a Military Draft when Trump ran in 2016, he would have been nowhere near the Nomination.

Oh…and stenos like Todd would have had their walking papers decades ago.

Although I was among the youngsters who cheered the All Volunteer Military in the 1970s, the result has been the spectacle of drones in Daddy’s basement playing at war, instead of being (by induction to the Military) liable for the mistakes of stoopid policies.

Right. If this really was an Obama policy he would already have reversed it. He’s reversed the rest of them.

He’s such a fucking liar. When Obama was president a lot of children were sent up here on their own - without families. They had to be housed while they were processed.

You know what, the Democrats are holding up the humanitarian aid.

Wall money doesn’t equal “humanitarian aid.”

The regime actually cancelled the “humanitarian aid” to Central America.

And nope - it’s not Todd’s job to check on accuracy (according to Todd). He’s a proud stenographer.

He recently moved from The Toronto Star to CNN, so there is hope for that network.
