Discussion: Trump On Alleged Oswald-Rafael Cruz Link: 'I Don't Think Anybody Denied It' (VIDEO)

Why should Trump apologize? Did anyone in the GOP ever demand that Trump apologize for contending that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States? Quite the contrary, the Republicans embraced Trump’s divisive rhetoric. This includes Ted Cruz, whose father, Rafael, said he would like to send Obama “back to Kenya”. Also Mitt Romney, who sought Trump’s endorsement. The GOP created this monster, and he’s all theirs, now.

sadly, there are some who believe the National Enquirer has a degree of credibility

There are more stoopids than not. Isn’t that what Trump told us?

Not even Sara Palin would have said that the National Enquirer was a “leading publication” or put any credence in one of their front page headlines.

tRump again proves why he really is the standard-bearer of the GOP.

This is the state of American journalism: rather than disputing the factual basis of the National Enquirer article re Ted Cruz’s father having an associattion with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to him killing a POTUS, Stepanopoulous wanted to know if Trump owed Cruz’s father an apology.

BTW, if you want to see how really irresponsible American journalism has become read Buzzfeed’s article about how the press knew about Trump’s anti-Iraq war lie.You can listen to Trump agreeing to inavde in a 2002 call to Howard Stern.

Trump: I am always right. I will present Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate at my inauguration.

Ha! In Trump’s administration, Sarah Palin will run the Education Dept.

This is the new conservative ethic Trump is trying to introduce — the perpetuation of a lie isn’t a lie.

His tactic is to absolve himself by the (false) notion that he has no motive to lie, because the lie isn’t about him.

You’ve got it. And how is Trumps dog whistles, passive aggressiveness, and flaky insinuations any different than how the GOP has been acting for 30 years?

In my opinion, our chances may have to rest on those Americans who can resist the MSM and it’s anticipated (nausea-inducing) embrace and “normalization” of Trump.

It is heartening to hear that younger people are skeptical of the MSM…however, stoopid resides in all manner of communication…and “communication” (the malevolent kind) has a master in Trump.

Van Jones is a fool when it comes to punditry. He is so deep in the Bernie bubble he can’t even see what utter nonsense he its making him spout. He claimed for weeks that Trump is going to be getting 30% of the Black vote, because only 70% say they absolutely hate him, and that Hillary is doomed because of it.

He was uttering similar nonsense last night.Completely fact free and just stuff he draws up in his fevered little head. Trump is so presidential, and the entire election turns on his stance against WTO that he has had for over a decade. He just doesn’t see how its possible that any other issue can matter. His latest is Trump is going to convince all of Bernie’s supporters to vote republican.

Trump is really really weird…

Trump isn’t the first politician to smear an opponent with a baseless lie—just google “Cruz, Hagel, Korea” if you doubt that. But he’s part of an elite group of smearers who don’t seem to draw any distinction between truth and the vilest, least plausible gutter rumors and conspiracy theories. He’s the ultimate bullshitter who’s completely lost sight of the idea that it matters whether or not what you say is true. And he’s so consumed by petty vindictiveness and mental illness that he doesn’t see the harm he does himself with the broader public by spreading smears that are nonsensical on their face. It’s no accident that The Enquirer is now being discussed all through the MSM. Trump is like a massive infection in which the subterranean world of the wild-eyed conspiracy theorists who believe literally anything about people they don’t like has erupted like a volcano into the mainstream public discourse.

Different only in degree and lack of surface deniability.

yeah… National Enquirer has ‘cred’… isn’t there something about even a blind pig finds a truffle once in awhile or a stopped clock is right twice a day…

BTW… no one in this credible publication refuted my saying sCruz Sr was responsible for the failure of the Bay of Pigs debacle yesterday so I guess, according to Donnie Dimwit’s irrefutable logic, that must be true too…

AS the old saying goes…“what’s the best way to know what a man will do tomorrow…look at what he’s up to today”. This is a look at President Trump. Irresponsible acts and refusal to deal with the consequences of them if it entails any sacrifice or admission of error on his behalf. We had a POTUS like that. And another young man died in Iraq 2 days ago.

It’s a transparently sleazy and dishonest tactic. And yet…over the years many rubes have been fleeced by the shell game and its variants. This is a new-ish one.

I’m giving serious consideration to having myself put in an induced coma until about November 4, just so I don’t have to hear that fucking charlatan’s vile inanity

And these latest remarks from Trump are an indication of what will (one hopes) sink him. Even after demolishing Cruz, he still won’t let it go. He has to continue to repeat the nonsense. The smart candidate would have said to himself, “Well, Ted’s gone. No reason to keep defending that Enquirer absurdity.” But no. It’s more important to him that he’s right, rather than just victorious.
