My guess is he was feeding A.J. the line about “going to leave his wife”, and then she got the news that in fact, he was having a baby with his wife which meant he was “unfaithful” to his mistress, and thus…tweeter scorn.
What will be interesting is if she keeps her job, too. My guess is no, since she violated one of the Trump commandments about airing dirty laundry in public. Plus, who can really see a woman driving someone out of the Trump administration without serious repercussions?

The Trump team and his followers will play this, and the purported shuttering of the Trump Foundation, as signs of addressing problems quickly and resolving all potential scandals before the inauguration even takes place. The compliant media will follow along. Then after he takes office, if no actions are taken regarding obvious and blatant corruption, the media will dutifully report that Trump has a history of swiftly addressing problems in his administration; so, there must not be any kind of an issue or story to investigate.
It has nothing to do with the wife. It’s all about the chase and the thrill of not getting caught…until you do. Mostly it’s probably about not wanting to be forced to raise and support yet another child because they can’t/won’t use birth control.
I think once Trump starts attacking the media for no reason (and you know he will) the media will feel obligated to return fire.

The Trump Foundation looks more and more like it’s pure as the driven snow. It must be so bad that they can’t risk it being investigated in any way. So they are trying to dissolve it before anyone can look into its internal workings and cash flow.
All these phony “charitable” foundations and trusts set up by politicians and rich people have the smell of money laundering, bribes and extortion and tax evasion…and nothing else. Charity went out of style with social justice.
