Discussion: Trump Officially Denies It: I 'Never Worked For Russia,' It's 'Big Fat Hoax'

I don’t think he’s trying to parse words. He’s straight up lying.

I hope this time is faster. I’m not sure we can survive another 265 days with this guy in the White House.

Big Fat Hoax?

My understanding is that much of what was hacked from the RNC was from older domains and servers.

On this issue, i will accept his denial of ever having worked for Russia. I don’t think he has ever worked for Russia. What he’s always wanted was to build a lavish hotel in Moscow, and to get that done, he had to make a deal with Putin, and part of that deal was to destroy the American system of government. T rumpp said OK. I’ll do that for you. Putin said OK. I’ll help you get elected. So the boundaries of this relationship have never been You work for me. You must do what i say. This relationship for T rumpp has always been, I want that hotel in Moscow! I must help Putin get what he wants to make that happen. Therefore, from T rumpp’s perspective, he has always been working strictly for himself because he wants what only Putin can give him. T rumpp is destroying American government because he wants a hotel in Moscow. That hotel is more important to him than his own country.

I’m currently reading THE SPY AND THE TRAITOR by Ben McIntyre (an excellent read so far), about Oleg Gordievsky, a deep-cover KGB double agent MI6 ran for years before he was finally burned (by Soviet CIA mole Aldrich Ames, no less) and had to be exfiltrated from Moscow. Among the info Gordievsky passed on, pretty much on the eve of the 1983 British elections, was that then-Labour leader Michael Foot had been an “agent of influence” for the Soviets. Not a spy or conscious agent but a spreader of disinformation who had been paid by the KGB; a useful idiot, if you will.

MI6 decided to sit on this bombshell in the hope that Thatcher would win, but were prepared to warn the Queen if Labour won the election. They were very, very concerned about the constitutional implications if Labour/Foot won. Of course, as we know, Thatcher did win, and the info was buried (and is being hotly disputed by Foot’s family and Labour following its revelation in McIntyre’s book).

Apologies to Hillary for any comparison with Thatcher, but this is what an alternate history looks like…

Partly true. The “I have never worked” part.

I like the sound of that.

He needs the J. Lo policy for that thing

I never worked for Russia. This is true because if i did, i’d have to register as a foreign agent with the deep state, and i never did that, so that there tells you i don’t work for Russia.

Assuredly. We already know for a fact that they had his lies about Trump Tower negotiations to hold over him.

It’s quite likely that any dalliances he had in Russia (and since we already know from a certain young lady that he’s open to those…) were recorded in some fashion. The pee tape is real.

And I’d be dollars to dimes that Putin or his folks had a wire during all of those conversations. A perfectionist like Putin wouldn’t leave it to chance or a he said/he said debate over notes.

Even though my inauguration was stuffed with Russian oligarchs, and my campaign staff consisted of several people who worked closely with the crookedest Russians money can find, and my son met with Russian lawyers, and I publicly asked for my opponent’s emails to be hacked by Russians, and my lawyer met to forward Russian building projects, and I always do whatever Putin wants me to do on the world stage by cutting loose former allies, and I say a former KGB agent and murderer is a great man, and I don’t allow American interpreters into all our meetings, there is no way that anyone could draw the conclusion that I work for Russia.

But don’t look at my tax returns - OK?

I think you’re jumping to collusions.

Pence walks scott-free and pardons him - that’s what’s so filthy about this whole thing. The entire GOP power structure knew all along, and that’s why they will take supporting a traitor to this country over revealing their own perfidy.

remember when he said he didn’t know stormy, or anything about payments to stormy

“Followup question: Did you do any ‘work’ for yourself and then just happen to get a gift from Russia at the same time? Did this gift look oddly like money?”

I can hear this in Yakov Smrinov’s voice:

In Russia, idiots elect evil dictator,
In America, evil dictator elect you

I’d forgotten about that.

Because the RNC was hacked too,all those emails are now in Russian hands.

How would we know?

In all seriousness, if you have a write-up to recommend I’d appreciate it. So much has happened in the last three years it’s easy to miss the follow-ups to important stories

Come on Dumbo -------- YOU are a Russian citizen .
