The adults in the room are bribing Fox News to continue covering Cat in the Hat, the Aztecs, and Wiccans putting hexes on administration officials. As long as they don’t talk about sensitive matters he’ll never learn of them.
Trump is like Sybil with multiple personalities galore. This personality is especially provocative and dangerous. He is cancerous and needs to be removed.
Bingo!
“Time heals all wounds” I guess. But 9 months into this, I sometimes wake up in disbelief that this jackass is REALLY the POTUS.
Let us hope for : " time wounds all heels" where trump & klan are concerned.
“I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man,” Trump tweeted, using his favorite moniker for Kim. “Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!”
This is Bannon.
Something needs to be done about him asap, but I’m not sure who can or will. This can’t continue.
Nah, Bannon understood there was no good direct military option. This reeks of someone incredibly stupid. Someone who thought firing Comey was a terrific plan. The kind of idiot who wanted to use Russian facilities in the US to talk. A guy who buys major property when the market is most overheated.
Good points. I see the State Dept. as the epicenter of whatever “deconstruction” efforts Bannon talks about.
I sat in a bar Friday evening watching a MLB baseball game on TV. A few seat over three guys were gushing how great a POTUS Trump is and how he showed it dealing with Kaepernick. All the code language and dog whistle comments were there. It was depressing.
I thought along the same lines, but came up with ‘tweet’ instead of bumper sticker. I may have been too generous.
Our generals won’t disobey their CinC if he orders a military strike on DPRK. The name for doing so is a coup d’etat. They won’t end constitutional government in the US over some pissant dictator with a handful of nukes.
The only way the generals would conceivably seize power in a coup is if Trump orders a nuclear strike on another major nuclear power with the capability to destroy the US.
I believe the reason Trump surrounds himself with generals, talks tough, embraces war, drools over the flag, and uses the military/veterans as foils for every argument is that he is compensating for his own cowardice. Too gutless to serve when it was his turn Apparently a genetic trait since none of the Trump larvae have served, either.
Trump: I am winning, even The Liberals agree:
hence the need for them to keep him from ordering such a strike
You’re right about Bannon and his attitude about going to war, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t want to keep throwing gasoline on the fire to keep everyone in their “proper places.”
@squirreltown I see the State Dept. as the epicenter of whatever “deconstruction” efforts Bannon talks about.
Yes. This also keeps Trump in a positive light for his deplorables.
Continued insults will not deter Kim’s missile launches. If anything it will inspire him to bust a cap on an atmospheric H-Bomb test in the Pacific. Planet Earth’s background radiation will go up a notch for well, pretty much forever.
ETA: Kim has the opportunity to gain worldwide status by playing the adult and letting everyone regard Trumpsky as a dotard. Hopefully he can finesse around a first strike by our resident mental case. Weird times people.
I would disagree with that insofar as that situation would necessitate certain norms still being in place. I do agree that normally, the top levels of the American military would never disobey a command to institute a military strike. BUT, - right now, there are no normal procedures to go by right now. Any extreme military strike on the DPRK that affected multiple, outside nations (such as China, S. Korea, Japan, etc.) would have disasterous widespread ramifications.
Not going to happen on the JCS watch.
