Just guessing here, but I’ll bet Jeff Sessions agrees.
Watching this interview as I type.
It’s a Sunday morning word salad with zero nutrition. What I’ve learned so far is that “they” came to see tRump and get the go ahead but he thoughtfully asked if any small animals might be hurt. And when “they” told him that 149 kittens and a pet gerbil might die he called it all off. All this at the last minute becasue that’s how these military plans are planned and presented to the CIC
I also learned that tRump has learned a new word…disproportionate … proof positive that he has the most beautiful mind in the world and is a stable genius
Yeah, Jeff really screwed you over by following precedent, and showing a degree of respect for our system, even if it was only for a couple of minutes.
My one and only do-over would be the 2016 election without Russia’s help.
Problem solved.
He just can’t get over it when he thinks he has been wronged by someone. I bet Sessions is getting a real chuckle over this. I can’t imagine the amount of frustration, angst, and anger Trump has to live with every second of his life and he deserves every bit of it.
He figured his law license was worth more than fealty to a criminal like you, and in that he was correct. Of course, he should have lost that for perjuring himself before Congress, but I digress.
Yeah, I wanted to hire a REAL toadie and not that wimp Sessions!
I bet he would still take the position, he had been waiting for a chance to destroy as much of civil rights for minorities as possible and the AG post was the perfect place to do it. He can die happy knowing that he has resurrected some of the nastiest aspects of the antebellum South.
And so did a few Republican senators still have a grasp of our norms and systems.
It’s funny how once Trump is sworn in and took up residence in the WH the corrosion started. So when did Turtle and Trump make their compact? Because Turtle was a big enabler of rending of our norms.
There are no “do-overs” in life, as much as we like to fantasize about it sometimes. Trump was elected (illegitimately) in 2016, and we’ll be picking up the pieces for decades.
That being said, the question and subsequent answer does provide some insight into Trump’s thoughts. Alas, it’s nothing we don’t already know. He’s a raging narcissist. Of note is he didn’t say trashing the Iran nuclear agreement or subverting the ACA thereby throwing millions off their healthcare or destroying the climate or a tax bill that only benefitted billionaires and multinational corporations or destroying the lives of little children and families at the southern border or conspiring with Russia to begin with.
Dear Mr. Trump:
Thank you for taping my campaign ad should Jeff Sessions decide to run against me for U.S. Senate.
Love,
Doug Jones
U.S. Senator, Alabama
*shrimp whimp
In other words, Sessions didn’t help Trump obstruct justice to the degree that Barr is helping Trump obstruct justice.
If Sessions is asked the same question, his reply should be, “It would be personal. In fact, I will do it over right now. The President is a criminal and conspired with the Russians in my presence.” But he doesn’t have the spine or soul for that.
Hey Sessions - I have news for you. If we had elected Hilary, you’d still be rich and have a job. Looks like all that fawning really paid off for you.
Well you know Sooner, I would too.
The least the USA could do in future would be to have presidential candidates take an IQ test. I know they are not that wonderful but Trump would never pass one. Britain should try it too, because Boris is another Trump but maybe not as cruel.
This nitwit doesn’t understand Sessions was put in that position by the DoJ ethics panel. Well after the Special counsel was appointed. Apparently, he thinks Sessions should be like him: disregard ethics.
His main character flaw is cruelty. It over-rides everything he does.
