Discussion: Trump Mistakenly Thinks Description Of Sanders Is About Himself (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #246138

Now that is some high quality trolling; Describe Trump’s political rival in terms underscoring their similar political positions and let the King of Humble indict himself in a moment of self-congratulation. It’s a perfect illustration of Trump’s auto-infatuation.

In his tiny mind It always revolves around Trump’s little tower.

“The candidate is considered a political outsider by all the pundits. He’s tapping into the anger of the voters, delivers a populist message. He believes everyone in the country should have healthcare,” she told Trump. "He advocates for hedge fund managers to pay higher taxes. He’s drawing thousands of people at his rallies and bringing in a lot of new voters to the political process, and he’s not beholden to any super PAC. Who am I describing?"

Yes that’s Trump…back then, but still…

The Donald is a male version of Sarah Palin, everything is about them.

Wow, MSNBC finally framed the Sanders campaign accurately and without the caveats. On Morning Joe even.

And it took trying to play a parlor trick on Trump to do it.

Well, Donald is a Democrat’s best friend.

Dump has 3 or 4 talking points he’s memorized. Get him out of that zone and he’s just a less sweaty marco roobio.

They really surprised me. Dump looked way out of his league even when the college kids asked the softball questions and Meeeka telegrapher her pitch from a mile away. And Dump whiffffffed.

It pains me to appear to come to Trump’s defense, but with 20+ years in Washington, Bernie is not an “outsider.”

Love to hear Donald opine about his Green Room buddy, in a Soviet flashback, sending a performance artist to a psychiatric facility…

Trump and his supporters and Sanders and his supporters all see themselves as agents of positive change. Anger and frustration with the status quo is their shared motivation. They may desire some similar end results – but the mindset is diametrically opposed. Trump has come to see himself as a benevolent authoritarian – he will fix things himself. Bernie sees himself as the catalyst for a democratic social movement beyond himself. I’ve read it argued here many times that either man could attract the other’s voters, but I seriously doubt it.

“You’re so vain…” – Carly Simon

Maybe he should start playing that without permission at his rallies.

Both are making claims that will never be realized. In that sense, they’re similar.

Also, Sanders has been in Washington for awhile, so he’s not an outsider in that sense–he’s outside any party in DC, but he’s not an outsider.

This question will never be asked of the Donald.

Also? That artist sounds a bit disturbed, IMO. Cutting off his ear? Nailing his scrotum to …anything? Talk about giving it all for art…

No, no, no, no. She was singing about Warren Beatty, smart, talented, sexy, nice hair even, no comparison to Trump.

And as much as I hate getting into serious conversations about unserious Trump, there’s this which shows he’s delusional bloviator.

Maybe you have to live in Russia to get the full drift?

NIce try. They did NOT describe Bernie, they described Trump. Not sure how they feel they got a ‘gotcha’ moment out of that. Bernie is NOT an outsider, he’s just one of the few that will admit they are a socialist. He’s not quite ready to admit to communism, yet.

Trump gets an A for the correct answer. MSNBC get’s an F for getting the question wrong.

If you want to have a ‘telling’ article, have Trump debate Bernie, with one communist moderator and maybe Michael Savage for the other…
