Barring some dramatic change in the landscape I don’t think this pattern of feeble, isolated and temporary resistance to every new outrage is going to change much. The GOP can’t think of a way out of the trap. If you’ve ever seen a family of rich drones squander everything and become paupers rather than work, plan, and sacrifice like normal people then you know what’s happening here. They had a chance in 2012 to turn away from nativism. But, obviously, they didn’t.

The claim that there is a national emergency at the boarder is a lie, pure and simple. If republicans vote to against the resolution, they will be endorsing not only just another lie, but a fraud that will endlessly resonate in history as the lie that forever damaged the constitutional separation of powers.
