Does anyone at TPM remember Rick Perry leading the polls in the 2012 election cycle?
Yeah, Perry did that once, too.
Does anyone at TPM remember Rick Perry leading the polls in the 2012 election cycle?
Weāll know Trump is serious when he starts wearing glasses.
This shit show is the only good thing the Tea Party has ever given us.
This may explain why we now have Bush talking about Iraq and Walker talking about secret emails. I used to think it doesnāt get any better but it does!
Carson is in second place?!?
This is Beautiful, it is a Yuuge lead and its Classy. Congratulations Donald Trump!!
You knowā¦you keep looking at this crap and you want to understand it. Perhaps Trump is so different than the rest of the clones running on the GOP side that heās attractive to GOPāers burned out on GOPāer.
Its an online poll published by a republican firm with no history of polling. So its not worth the electrons is was printed on.
Great information, surprisingly NOT reported by this TPM reporter. Why does TPM mislead their loyal readership? OH wait, click bait.
Trump blowing kisses to Major Garrett paid off this morning on CBS where Garrett reported Trumpās issue positions with only one mention of his āramblingā speech and no mention of the presser hug and kiss.
HRC, meanwhile, continued taking fire from the CBS poop gun.
A lot of candidates fell by the wayside after gaining huge momentum that cycle (Perry, Cain, Gingrich, etc.). Iāll still be a bit surprised if Trump is even standing after the first several primaries (he has no GOTV organization). But heās held bigger leads for longer times than any of the crazies in 2012 did. Whatās happening this cycle is, imo, the base has finally and truly become completely uncontrollable. They canāt even be put off a disastrous candidate that the entire party wants gone. The bombastic demagoguery is ALL THEY WANT. Play on their resentments and always be obnoxious and callous. Drive the ālibrulsā crazy. It feeds their id beyond compare. Iām actually beginning to question if the republican establishment is strong enough to deal with this. I think their strength (other than the money) is overrated.
Hereās info on Eschelon Polling from Buzzfeed. I knowā¦Buzzfeed, but its an article that gives some background into the newly developed operation and how they plan to do their polling operation going forward. It is a GOP based operation run by GWBās own āwebmasterā from his 2004 campaign, and a previous employee of the RNC. So if their polling is wrong or off-base the GOP can hardly call them out as liberal hacksā¦and there is something to be said for that.
The vague, angry messages by Trumpāand those of his fervent supportersāare just as vague and jingoistic as those by and for the George Wallace campaign in 1968.

Donald Trump continuing successes have taught me two great life lessons:
- A lesson on the value of humility ā humility is worthless
- Never trust the knowledge of the orthodoxy. It is possible to trash the orthodoxy and succeed.
What this poll really reveals is that republicans are even more stupid than anyone even imagined.
Itās not just YUUUUUGE and CLASSY ā itās the YUUUUGEST and CLASSIEST.
āFormer neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson came in second place with 10 percent, while former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Sen. Marco Rubio (FL) were tied with 9 percent each.ā
Given that both Carson and Fiorina will be less than a radar blip nine months from now, this poll tells us nothing about the staying power of Donald Trump.
Donald Trump - āSuper Genius.ā Iām beginning to wonder if olā Thin-Lips McGee is going to turn out to be more than a flash in the pan. Still, I keep thinking of the old adage about what happens when you give a dipshit enough rope. But just how much rope can Thin-Lips need?
