Discussion: Trump Lawyer Says President 'Totally Vindicated' By Comey Testimony

But how can Comey be trusted if he is a political Showboat

Comey “put politics over protecting America,” a narrator says in the 30-second spot, titled “Showboat,” which was shared with The Associated Press. It accuses him of being “consumed with election meddling” even as “terror attacks were on the rise.”

And what really counts is how Mueller sees it.

His lawyers probably have stolen his phone and changed the password to his Twitter account. Otherwise, I doubt they would stick their necks out like that.

LOL…that’s what he’s paid to say.

This is great news for John McCain!

He said he wouldn’t announce it publicly so they wouldn’t have to retract the statement in the future. Ask Hillary how that works.

“The president is pleased that Mr. Comey has finally publicly confirmed his private reports that the President was not under investigation in any Russia probe,” Marc Kasowitz wrote in a statement. “The president feels completely and totally vindicated.”

“He is eager to continue to move forward with his agenda,” Kasowitz concluded.

it’s now 5:46 p.m. on the east coast and the betting ‘windows’ are now open and they will stay open, until 5 a.m. eastern. Your bet must have the correct (or close to) tweeting time, thank you

Journalism 101 Follow-up Question: “And how does the POTUS feel about Comey’s statement providing sufficient factual allegations to justify charges of obstruction?”

Everybody on the Drumpf bus before it runs you over…

Oh wait… Bad idea…

There’s a train Comey down the tracks…

Well, if it’s good enough for a Jersey mob lawyer, then it’s good enough for me.

Now if we can just get confirmation from a Russian mob lawyer.

Well since now he HAS announced it publicly, I wonder if it means he will have to correct it (assuming that Trump is now a target)? I am hoping very much that question comes up tomorrow.

Also, of course, he said he wasn’t a target of a counter-intelligence investigation. He could have been a target of a criminal investigation. I would be shocked if, at this point at least, he is not. (And that is discounting any obstruction of justice charges he may be facing.)

Not unexpected. Not at all surprised that he would deliberately misread the testimony that way.

Note that Nixon did not physically break into the Watergate Hotel. It doesn’t matter if Trump personally was under investigation. If his staff is, and he knew his staff was committing crimes, then he’s in deep doo-doo.

He wants to be the CEO of the government? Well CEOs get fired all the time for acts committed on their watch.

Reports have it, that they are suing the Arrow t.v. show for libel.

Wait, haven’t you been subpoenaed already?

Trump hasn’t tweeted yet.

Though more often they don’t. That’s worth remembering as well.

I am prepared to treat that Twitterstorm as I would a front row seat at a Gallagher performance.

I am suitably attired in plastic trash bags with an umbrella.
